Am I the only one who misses some of the first OST tracks like
"World of Adventure" and "Boys be Courageous"?

Not in the sense that I think they should have been used
in the Chimera Ant arc because they just wouldn't fit well
nor in the sense that I don't like the music in the Chimera Ant
arc because it's as usual incredibly awesome.

But more in the sense in that as epic and awesome as the Chimera Ant arc is
it's also kinda depressing (but in a good way.) Especially with what happened to Gon.

I remember people giving all kinds of crap for Gon being too cheery early on
in this series but I ain't gonna lie...I miss that Gon. It's like he's growing up too fast!
Hell he IS growing up too fast! I think Gon just needs a hug. Or two.

But that's just part of the reason why this series is so amazing.
It makes you care about these characters in a way so many stories
try but can never quite manage to do. And the magnificent score
by Hirano just magnifies that feeling by ten thousand fold.

One thing that I love about the OSTs is the sheer amount of variety
which fits quite well with a series as versatile as Hunter x Hunter.

It's gonna be really interesting to see what kind of music will be in the next arc.
It would seem cheesy if the music is too grandiose. But if it's too underwhelming
it can have a negative effect on the arc and make it seem well...dull.
Still I have the utmost faith in Hirano and believe the next OST will be just as amazing as the ones before--only different as it should be.

A question for y'all

When Hunter x Hunter was first starting off with this anime one of the biggest criticisms was that the music was too "cheery and bombastic."
But now it's been a while since the days we heard "World of Adventure" at every turn. The music has changed just about as much as the story has.
For those who weren't immediately fans of the soundtrack but over time grew to like or even love it what are your thoughts NOW
on some of the older tracks or how do older episodes stack up musically? Has HxH improved musically or have we grown more accustomed
to this adaptations sense of style? Also not to cause too much of a flame war but at this point how do the soundtracks of the 2011
series compare to the 1999 and OVA soundtracks? The 1999 OST had some memorable tracks like Kurapika's theme "Konpaku No Elegie"
so how does 2011 tracks like "Chain Bastard" compare to you as far as iconic-ness goes? Personally I think tracks like
"The Assassin Family's Estate" are some of the most iconic anime sound tracks of all time. It's kinda hard to NOT think
when that music is playing "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh shit the Zoldycks are here!"

Hey guys, I play a game called J Stars Victory Vs, and it has gon and killua as playable chars with hisoka as support. You can edit your own BGMs into the game and I was wondering if anyone has the music that plays when Killua fights one of the 3 bombers in greed island. The fight when he uses the yo yos for the first time... that music is epic and I really want to use it whenever I play as killua. Thanks for any advice !

Edit: Question, I'm listening to the Hisoka OST right now, and its called : "Kyousou Requiem" and the person singing the song sounds EXAAAACTLY like Hisoka! Does anyone know if thats the same voice actor singing this song? I mean seriously, it sounds identical o_o.... pretty freaking cool!
