[Kamen Rider Dragon]

I think the sparkles were Kastro's left over nen. It's gone after flying off. The fight was definitely pretty good. Next week is going to be better though. I still can't get enough of the Nen abilities flashing on the screen.

Did anyone else laugh when Hisoka casually caught his own arm?

It's too bad there was no Hisoka eating his own arm part. But it was still a great episode.

Even with pixie dust that scene with Hisoka losing his arm was pretty sweet.

Great fight! Was that Hisoka's new theme playing during it? I think I may have a new favorite track!

Animation was a step up from last episode. Actually I'll probably have to watch the episode again because it was pretty intense.

Also I think there's a slight possibility we might get 3 chapters next episode...As I saw Gon in the preview but he shouldn't
appear until 3 chapters later.

Also gotta love how Killua just goes into cat face mode when talking to Gon. It stood out a bit more in the manga but I think I actually like it a bit more this way
because it seems more subtle but not really. Almost as if the animators actually thought Killua was a cat boy and now he's explaining something. Like WTF?

Also as soon as I saw them get on the escalator it was like "Wing is totally gonna be on the top waiting for them"

I think it's probably the very beginning of chapter 3. It'll cut off with Wing saying that Gon is ready to continue his training.

I love this episode.
I did expect that they will censor some stuff in the fight but nevertheless it's good.The sparkling arm actually work in that part.
The highlight of this episode :
1)The part where Gon meet up with Wing and Wing commented on his regeneration ability.This part wasn't included in the manga and I think it was a good touch to show Gon freakish ability in self-healing.
2)The fight itself.Duh.
3)Hisoka being Hisoka.
4)The narrator. I never like the narrator but I think he did a good job at the ending.

The weakness of this episode:
1)Maybe it's just me but some of the audience seem to be frighten and scream when they saw Hisoka's arm was cut off. In the manga ,they were more bloodlust and wanted to see the opponents killed each other. Considering that this is a Hisoka's fight ,you should pretty much expect hella of blood and goriness.So, for some of the audience to scream like a crybaby, it didn't fit.

Wow, while reading manga, I actually missed two things. The first is that Hisoka fought in the Arena for at least two years straight and his record is still valid - and that lets me guess that at least one forfeit was due to the Exam. The second is that Tiger Bite Fist was a well-known martial arts technique, while I was sure it was Kastro who created it (he only thought of the True one right?). Sometimes anime can make better understand manga =D
The episode was great, 9.5/10.

Just finished watching. Again, awesome episode, and particularly the nen effects ^^
Kastro summoning his doppelganger is a nice example of it.

I found it very nice the change in locations while talking about the fights. That makes Killua and Gon interaction more credible, in some way. You get to see the daily basics of them. It was fresh. Another detail I liked...Cocco reading the speech from that paper. Gave it realism, somehow.
And I enjoy that they use the vocabulary so fluid. It looked good, the presentation of Kastro and Hisoka.

And the fight was really good, I enjoyed it. Notice that His aure went color when using Tiger Bite fish...I think they're trying to clearly differentiate the basic techniques from Hatsu ones. And that's a very good job and take on Nen.

And the gifs, I wont forget the gifs.

LOL; reversing this gif would be awesome. Like a FUCK YEAH without arms :P

And again, I actually enjoy a lot how they introduce the name of the techniques. Very clean, very game-ish.

Sorry for the late review. I was busy today.

Spoiler: Episode 31 Part 1

The first part is mainly Old vs New. Nothing a lot to say.

The introduction scene was good in both versions. The old version was more comical in my opinion with Killua bullying Gon and the source of Gon's recovery.

In the old version we get to see a moment when Killua bought his tickets. That wasn't present in the manga

Killua the cat is in both versions now.

The scene when Killua was describing Hisoka's matches in the old version is closer to the manga, but the new one isn't bad either.

Both versions did not depict Wing's surprise appearance as in the manga. Notice also that Gon's arm does not appear to have completely healed despite seeing that few scenes ago. I don't know if it's an error, but it's present in both the manga and the old version. If it's an error, then the new version has fixed it.

And of course, in the old version we get the elevator lady again.

Gon's and Killua's auras

In the old version we also got a filler scene when Killua wanted to buy his usual chocolate, only to remember that he bought all the supply a while back and ended up buying juice.

Here I have not noticed this, but Killua threw a stone or something to distract the guard. In the old version he used and ice cube from his juice, but in the new version he used a peanut to shoot it like a bullet!

In the old version we see Killua has prepared his claws like he wanted to attack Kastro. He didn't do that in the manga.

So, in this part I say both version are as good as the other, but I say the new is slightly better than the old.

Now to the main event, Hisoka vs Kastro. Some may say there's no comparing between the two, but is it true?

The blood was more in the old version than the new version.

But the highlight of this episode was Kastro's attack. The old version has omitted the majority of the fight after he took of Hisoka's arm. I also made a prediction in the past that the new version will use nen auras to censor the stumps, and I was mostly correct. And the flying arm had a similar effect to the guy Hisoka took his arms off in the Hunter exam. The blood was toned down, but they gave us the actual injuries instead of omitting the whole fight like the old version.

In the manga there was a comment about Kastro's lack of creativity with his attack names and sadly we did not get it here.


In the manga, the doppelganger explanation was like a side note. In the new version they made Wing explain it to Zushi.

And I guess we won't see this.

At this point, there's no comparing. Just showing the actual fight instead of skipping it makes the new version better than the old one even if there was no blood like the manga.

Final Rate: 9/10

Awesome episode! While I did think that the first half of the fight was pretty meh, it then started to get really cool. It left me wanting more. Seriously, I cannot wait to see the rest of this fight! Oh and I love the way Zetsu was animated!!
