I loved Zushi in this version, he's just so lovable and has that cute kid vibe like Gon and Killua, I feel it seemed really organic that they would become friends with Zushi. In the 99 series I found him to be, I dunno a little annoying for some reason. I think it was his old VA combined with his appearance in 99.

I thought Zushi was cool in the 1999 series. But I think he seems a little more kid like here.
Actually I'm much more liking the atmosphere thus far as compared to the 1999 series. The corresponding episode in the 1999 series
had a very stale vibe to it. Like it was trying too hard to be serious but just ended up being moody. Here it is much more relaxed
which is how I think the manga felt until you add Hisoka into the picture. Then it's all sorts of crazy tension.

Zepile looks great!!! I'm so happy to see he still has a warm reddish color scheme (similar to his 1999 colors) , in general all the Nostrade family guys look great to me too. I love how much everyone is fangasming over Zushi. lol. And to be fair he looks great! I love all the touches of Togashi's car style in the new opening and ending that mostly seem to have been mentioned. (the nen charts, the group shot at the end is inspired off a pic from the manga) so cool!
This isn't the most exciting part of heaven's arena at all, but my anticipation for my favorite scenes is even higher now!

Maybe it's just me but I find the "new" opening song to be a bit lazy,there weren't really much new scenes and I felt the sequence didn't really work.On the other hand,I love the new closing theme.It was so nice!! Particularly like the addition of the nen chart but it is a bit of a spoiler though to show their nen type.And ,they really show a lot from the Yorknew arc.But didn't show much of the heaven arena arc like Kastro ,and the other 200th floor fighters.I felt they should have shown more from the heaven arena arc.
It was a good episode overall.
I think Wing's shout should have been more louder.

I am pretty sure that the opening will change completely once we get to York New. There is not enough imagery of York New for it to continue being used and the new lyrics relate much more the Heaven's Arena. I don't think Heaven's Arena is too long an arc, that's why they didn't introduce an entirely new opening (in case you don't remember the original version of Departure hints towards Heaven's Arena.
The Heaven's Arena arc afterall concludes the hanging thread of the Hisoka storyline from the Exam. This arc is an extention of the exam. It won't be a long arc that's why I think we didn't see too much difference Opening wise. They seem to be hinting more towards the huge arc coming up more than anything (York New).
Haha sorry, just had to throw in my two cents lol.
First off, the opening. Not a lot of differences, but I totally dig the Phantom Troupe looks. Chrollo looks so badass!
The episode is an exposition for what's coming, and so, I don't have a lot to talk about. Zushi and Wing were cool looking, although I think Zushi is a bit too short next to Gon and Killua. He is shorter in the manga, but we can't make sure because Togashi's art is not consistent. And unfortunately, Wing's scream wasn't that great. ((a recurrent issue in anime))
The encyclopedia is what I thought it would be. Gon and Killua talk about something related to the episode and end with a joke.
The new ending is better than the first one ((I hate the loud shouting style))

Great new intro and ending! I also like the episode a lot, I think the Celestial Tower arc is one the most fun arcs in HXH (probably second to G.I.).
I noticed that Phinx's headdress resembles the one he wore in the ant arc (serpent design), an indication that the director intends to carry the anime through the ant arc =D (plus I think I noticed Morau in the silhouette in the openings??)
The new opening seems like they didn't invest much into it, which gives me hope that we'll get a new one for the Yorkshin arc. Yay! And Zushi and Wong's designs are awesome! So much better than in the 1999 anime. Wong looked especially great when shouting at Zushi through the crowd. I found both of them a little annoying in the previous anime, but now I like 'em just fune. Also, loved Zushi's seyuu, but Wong's... Umino Iruka?... That's what he sounds like, at least... not what I expected, but whatever.
And another great ending! They spoiled the type of nen the 4 main character possess in such a cool way XD I'm totally loving this ending! ~<3 And I wanna listen to the full version of the song.
But one big disappointing thing: I don't like Kuroro's design in the OP T_T I can't help it... TT_TT In the ending it seems OK, though... And the rest of the Spiders are looking good... Maybe it will get better when we actually reach the Yorkshin arc...?
I really liked this episode. A lot. Ok, given, intro song was not that great...But I want to know what they changed of the lyrics. I did not paid attention to them, someone who has a charitable soul can do that comparison?

Anyway, at first when I saw Ren from Zushi and the scream from Wing I was a bit disappointed thinking that they will do Nen as a silly aura around the characters. Then I saw the ending and I KNOW that they're doing that now to avoid showing more until proper Nen is revealed, same as they did with Zebro.
Gyo in the ends looks amazing. If they can achieve doing the same aura around the body...It will be perfect.
