This episode seems to confirm that the yare going to animate stuff that was implied, but not shown. The whole battle for getting to the 200th was not shown in the manga.

So how many chapters did the episode over? I was honestly hoping they don't spend to much time on canon fodder filler fighters to be honest, and instead make sure stuff like Kastro vs Hisoka, Gon vs Gido etc could be as epic as possible. I'll be watching it a bit later, so I'll judge for myself I guess.

2 chapters, maybe 1 chapter and a half.

I think they just added that in so it would end at the end of chapter 47

Next episode we should at least get the first half of Gon vs Gido.

Good episode this week. Some minor changes though with Hisoka's hallway:
His entrance is different from the manga where he just peeks his head in
and also the receptionist lady never gets scared in the manga. Also
Killua's expression after punching Zushi is him sticking his tongue out
as the scene in the manga was more humorous in tone.

Nen is looking interesting so far. Next episode should really show what it is like.

Makes sense. I recall Sorachi (or was it Oda?) saying there are things they'd like to include in the manga, but due to page limits// time constraints they aren't able to. This pretty much confirms that Togashi is working closely with Madhouse and ensuring they include what he wanted to but wasn't able to. This might mean that the pacing is sorta thrown out of whack, but if Madhouse intends to animate everything I don't mind it.

I'm more annoyed that the ending song bleeds into the episode now. I was hoping for a clean version to rip this time around, but this seems to be the norm. It's a minor nitpick though.

A decent enough of a chapter though the whole part of the 190th floor fighter was unnecessary.
I did find it kinda weird that Zushi was with Killua and gon when Wing was explaining nen to them and then mysteriously disappear.Technically,he shouldn't be there at all.
And the closeup of Wing's face was a bit odd.

Anyway, does anyone know what was written on the whiteboard during Gon and Killua encyclopedia?

yeah I know. It's a minor detail.

Pretty much the episode did well.

Though I'm wondering about next episode...If they do chapters it will end
in the middle of Gon vs Gido and it would be kind of an awkward ending.


But I dunno if they will do 3 chapters for the sake of completing the fight.

They might do one chapter and a Zushi fight filler which wouldn't be terrible
since I think it would be cool to see Zushi fight. Maybe we can even see a little
of his nen ability. It would be spoilerish but then so what? Zushi is awesome.

I just like to see Gon vs Gido get to the part where Gon uses Zetsu.
It's not the end of the fight (the ending is shown via flashback)
but it would flow better if the fight wasn't cut in half.

I especially want Hisoka vs Kastro as one whole fight
and then the recap about the fight in the next episode.

Just finished the episode, it was fantastic! Hisoka looks so damn good! Dat ball tummy, also Nen was really neat looking I thought! I love how the music from the ending bleeds into the episode actually, it works for a really good theme to end an episode on.

Great! episode. I love how Nen was animated. Wings Killing intent was just freaking awesome! and Hisoka's entrance was beastly. The next episode should be really good.

Great episode, I suspect next episode will end midway through Gon vs. Gido as like a cliffhanger. Narrator says "Gon is in trouble. Can he overcome Gido and his spinning tops? Or will he face defeat? Gon is in trouble!" Haha.

Next ep will have further Nen explaination, more Hisoka and the beginning of Gido. Should be an interesting episode.

I particularly enjoyed the hallway scene, it was utterly epic. I liked Hisoka's appearance here, instead of just peeking his head around the corner he seems to just appear from thin air, it really adds further mystery and amplifies his Magician persona. Great episode of overall, looks like we will be getting some little extra bits here and there (190's battle, it was fun).

On the right: Lover's Umbrella (Ai Ai Gasa) with Gon and Killua's name underneath

Another enjoyable episodes! The pacing is great and just left me wanting more! Can't for the next episodes!

Watching this series is the closest I will ever feel to reading the manga for the first time. I love it, that feeling of excitement. It's amazing.

What exactly is Madhouse trying to do??

Hisoka vs Kastro fight would probably be tone down.I just hope they don't cut it out.When I first read it in the manga ,it was just plain violent.Hisoka taking the card out from his wound was just nuts.

Nothing good, I can tell you that right now.

And yeah, cutting it would be pretty bad, but it's going to be harder and harder to tone things down as the series continues.
