I got to hxh I think probably in 2000-2002, Can't remember, when my friend FORCED me to watch few episodes. I went home and downloaded the rest of them and watched them in a row. Then I read the manga. Then everything stopped when the hiatuses kicked in and I wanted forget everything because I thought It would never end and stuff. Sometimes I get hooked again for a while. Now with the new anime and movie coming up I can't let go :D

You sure can't. Also the chance of togashi coming back together with the movie is quite high ^^

My love for MGS is equal to that of Hunter x Hunter, so It's great to find a fellow fan in the HxH section. :beer

What to watch next?...

i hope this is the right place for this... 1st post... first off i would like to thank anyone who replies to this thread...

i just finished watching the new version of Hunter X Hunter and im looking for some other cool anime series to watch... i really enjoyed Hunter X Hunter it had great story telling, imagery, and creativity... i have only seen this series and the old robotech macross series... i tried watching dragon ball z and some other anime but everything ive found sucks... can anyone point me in the right direction?... i have crunchyroll and it has tons of stuff but everything i try sucks and bores me to death...

If you like Hunter X Hunter, I think you would love Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (the first one is great too, but brotherhood seems more light hearted and is the original story, as in follows the manga.)

I also think you should check out, Kuroko no Basket even if you aren't in to sports manga, its incredible and very exciting, give it a chance.

I'm thinking about checking out Fate/stay, but people have good things to say about it, so maybe check that out.

These are anime that I think might fit your tastes, also you may Like Yu Yu Hakusho (also created by Togashi), I love it one of my favorite anime ever, part of it may be nostalgia though, but it definitely ages well, really well.

Hope, I helped, I picked anime that I thought you may like and ones I liked. If your willing to branch out a little more, I will tell you about other anime, even though they aren't exactly similar to Hunter X Hunter (Kuroko no Basket isnt really similar to Hunter X Hunter, but its an amazing anime.)

LOL, frog. Those were exactly the ones I would recommend. :P And Tower of God is a great Manwha if you want to read something cool.

I concur with JoJo.

It depends on your tastes. FMA: Brotherhood is good. I'd actually recommend Fate/Zero over Fate/Stay.

I heard a lot of good things about Steins;Gate.

Steins;Gate is excellent but the start is very slow(and soundtrakcs don't help).I recommend you to watch Gintama, a long and excellent anime,the 3rd season just started.

I recommend you to watch FMA, Magi, and Stein's gate. Also Blood+ and Get Backers are a must watch ^^

It gave me a lot of work, but Kite chibi and Togashi's dog face plus Kurapika awesomeness made it all worthwhile ^^
