More Departure...

It seems fans are split. They either hate it or love it. I personally would like to see a new OP. If not that, even an edgier version of Departure would suffice. I could tolerate it during Yorknew... it's fine for Hunter Exam and GI, but for CA arc, I was really hoping for something different. I'm losing hope, but am still a little hopeful that things will change at some point.

It's just that, to me, CA arc is very pivotal. It's a crucial arc with regards to the perspectives and general characters of Gon and Killua, and if we're looking for a song that represents the trials and utter despair they go through, we're not going to find it Departure. Sure, "you can smile again", but there was little of that feeling when I read through the arc.

This is simply my opinion. I'm not going to stop watching the anime nor downvote it because they didn't change the OP. I'm still going to enjoy it, and I have faith in Madhouse to do a damn good job with the arc. And I'm glad it seems we're getting a new ED at least.

Hiatus and HxH come in the same combo. You should just forget about the manga until it comes back, it's better that way xD

This is my first hiatus. Sure, we're kinda left at a cliffhanger, but at least he finished off the election arc instead of stopping in the middle like he did with the ones before.

Since i am german, i could only read HxH until the beginning of GI back then.
Then i stopped caring fo manga for a time and it took me about 5 years until i rememberred that there was this awesome manga from back then and i found it online.
So that kinda was my first 'hiatus'

When i was through reading all the new stuff, the Hiatus at the peak of Chimera ants arc started, and i waited patiently.
Did not know togashi takes those insanely long hiatusses, but i was used to waiting from Berserk.

So, i am in my second hiatus right now, but it is worse than the first time.
When the first hiatus came, i reread the stuff before the ant arc since it was so long ago that i read it.
But now it is all present and i just want moar stuff.

And since i am not pleased with the new one piece stuff, i lost one weekly manga which could cheer me up.
Only thing which can cheer me up now is tower of god.

But on the Plus side, the hiatus MUST end soon.
We are already hiatussing a long time, so toagshi cant just take another year.
He will come back in 2013.

And if he is being a nice guy, he will give us 30 chapters, or at least 20.

Oh yeah.. i know hiatusses welll... i am a reader of HxH since around 2001 (monthly Magazine) and online since around 2006 or even later (at the Climax of the Chimera Ant arc when Netro arrived, dont exactly know when it first came out)

And since then ive been through many hiatusses. But i dont like the series any less. Its still my favorite (besides one Piece).
I even own all Manga issues and what some might not know is that especially in the end of the Greed Island Arc, togashi did a lot of bad work in the Magazine, but in Hiatusses he redrawed most of the Chapters for a clean and final version of them in the issues.

I dont know what he does now, but i hope he will return soon.
I really loved the last arc!

Well,love it or hate it,Departure is here to stay.(Never really like that song.)When people think of Departure,they would think of Hunter x Hunter.I guess that is what Madhouse is trying to market.
The hiatus...Togashi will come back when he want to...

...About Departure,I can't imagine Gon and Killua with happy faces and running in CA arc.It would be really odd.As said above,another version would be good,they announced that we'll have a new ending but maybe they'll announce a new opening next weeks...Or maybe it's a problem of sponsor?If it permits them to keep that level of animation,I don't mind.

I remember watching the first few episodes of HxH 2011 and i was kind of dissapointed by the Filler stuff here and there, and of course by the fact that it was kind of rewritten at some points... It seemed to be less serious as the former anime because much of the rather bloody scenes were leaved out.

so we could get into Chimera Ant Arc a bit before the OP changes. IIRC they didn't really change the OP until a few episodes into Yorknew either. Call it wishful thinking but I really can't imagine Departure for the later parts of the Arc.

It's not like the OP plays such a huge role for the anime but I definitely would prefer a change ;__;

If you want to talk about hiatus', go and ask any fan of non-mainstream titles. We wait patiently for months or even years to get a new chapter or episode. Worst case scenario if the titles were dropped forever and we are doomed to have a non complete series.

Non-mainstream titles taught me how to be patient. And while I wait, I go and look up other titles to keep me busy till it resumes. The manga world is not just mainstream that you even get before street date you know. Not everything you get in the speed of light and HxH is not the only one with delays or long hiatus periods.

Lol are you being serious or joking? I'm not sure if you meant to say HxH 1999 because 2011 is nothing like that haha
It is way more violent than 99 ever was, way more faithful to the original manga material and carries the correct balance of serious and light-hearted.
