well i would, but im dying to know what happens in the story, so i cannot wait for the anime to catchup
honestly i am more of a manga fan than an anime fan anyway, i love anime, but manga is almost always > than anime
Manga > anime for me has always been a dicey topic, I always give both mediums an equal chance to win me over. I think it's just a matter of impatience thanks to the power of the Internet we have at our fingertips with Edited Mangas/fansubs. Depending on how much I like Attack on Titan's anime for example I may end up reading the manga but for now I'm waiting

HATE the thought "Oh it's an adaptation.... so the source must be better! That's where it started after all!!!!" In the anime/manga fandom, I understand where that side is coming from though, so many adaptations come out every 3 months in Japan and thanks to crappy writers, source being incomplete more evidence is in favor of that argument. However it is and always has been a classic case of the slippery slope fallacy. David Production's JJBA will attest to this : P
I have always been a defender of the reboot because with the story "complete" or at least a major saga finished Madhouse has the advantage of story hindsight so they can and have been accentuating what works, trimming or rearranging what didn't work because no source is perfect. It makes sense hinting at future things earlier than they were in the manga such as Star Hunters thanks to Tsezgerra and Kite or showing a nest of regular Chimera Ants. It makes the anime as a whole more cohesive for the viewer.
Now whether the audience likes those changes I leave to the eye of the beholder but let me put it this way. If I had someone ask me whether they should watch the Hunter x Hunter(2011) anime or read its manga I'm going to say the anime because for me at least Colors/Motion/Sounds/Pacing > Less gore*/StoryNotFullyAvailable**.
I'm only using those reasons in particular because of the type of adaption the reboot is trying to be. Hiroshi Kojina is trying to tell Togashi's story of HxH in an anime form as opposed to the first anime which was Furuhashi's take on HxH(
Not saying his was bad, just that it went in a different direction at times). I'm only speaking for myself but Madhouse has been doing a damn good job respecting its source and giving fans of all kinds a kickass anime to watch whether they be new ones or have been exposed to the franchise previously
Now before any people bring up episode 76, my response is a mixture of wait until the arc progresses and it's different from the 99 changes. Gon is still Gon, Kite is still Kite as we know them from the manga when looking at the anime in context. This is different than Kurapika wailing after killing Uvogin in the first anime for example. That was a complete shift of Kurapika's character/personality.
