I can't change my avatar

How can I change my avatar? Every time I upload an image, it will say that the size of the image I'm trying to upload is large, it is only 8kb. Somebody help me, please!

It's because it's too large. The maximum dimension is 150x300 here.

Resize it or choose another picture with the right dimensions.
