I have the feeling the manga is coming to an end quite soon, since it seems

will be the final boss...

But there are SO MANY possibilities that have yet to be explored

for example, I wanted SNS to go international at some point, like Totsuki would be participating against prestigious culinary schools from other countries, Soma and co would be its representative and meet various rivals

or also, just like that, I wanted this girl to be a recurring character since she seems to be the only one in Totsuki other than the PSD and Don RS to genuinely like Soma

Anyway, it looks to me like the author is writing himself into a corner

Do you mean create an antagonist that will be greater than Azami ?

I'm glad i am not the only one, this arc is really fast paced .

What the author could do is that put off Natsu's apperance in this arc, and let Gin and Jouchirou take the spot light .

After that, do something fun about 3rd year graduation when Azami get overthrown ( picnic, beach scene). This can happen during their first year too, but the next next "arc" could be something like Natsu invites a bunch of students from Denmark or Europe to compete with Tootsuki first year and 2nd year student -> new Elite Ten .

I wouldn't really worry about the series ending tbh

For me, this arc is comparable to the 12 houses arc in Saint Seiya or to the Soul Society arc in Bleach, I think Azami is merely a puppeteer used as an excuse for our main characters to actually fight the Elite Ten
