How many of you agree with me that Ichiya should be given the title of God Serena?

I agree, but i also agree with Parfum Dragon Slayer title.
And there are many other awesome titles .

Anyone know if his character has something to do with Two And A Half Men series?
Whenever I heard the "meeeen", I remembered the introduction of that series.

Yeah, dude has my condolences after the recent chapter. And I'm not only talking about his death. He was used as a plot object for a very disastrous and disappointing cause.

Although, it still confuses me on why he would help Anna pilot Christina..

If he didn't help her out, then Anna would have failed to drive Christina into Acnologia. Not only would I be laughing at Anna's massive failure, but Acnologia would also have not touched the dumb timelapse.

But I guess Ichiya couldn't help it.

Erza never gave him the romantic attention he desperately needed, so he had to resort to Anna to fulfill his desire of being loved...

He must've loved it when Anna called him handsome, so it wasn't entirely a lost cause for him, I guess..

Me, on the other hand, I really paid a price for it.

I read the chapter. I'm still hoping for the best. There is no way this is the end of Acnologia. So...underwhelming. Now I don't have a problem with Ichiya driving him into the time lapse. That isn't the problem. It is that it was rushed. The battle should have continued on and on their last leg, just about to be horribly obliterated by Achonologia, Anne and Ichiya fling into a desperate plan to save everyone and the future of their world.

Instead though the battle was pretty much nonexistent and they sacrificed themselves before anyone could attempt to really offer the best fight that they could even if it was impossible for them to actually win. Erza should have at least been given the chance to be thrown around like a ragdoll before it all happened and Ichiya, being the man that he is, goes to her rescue.

Oh well I guess. I don't go into most manga expecting AAA quality writing...

If he died, then it was to fulfill a greater purpose. His sacrifice will not be in vain as he will have helped save the world.
