Archived Introduction Thread - Part 1

Re: Introduction Thread

I think she meant soccer and baseball but hey, wasn't soccer baseball in an early episode of Bleach?

I believe it was called "Yakka~" and a game Orihime invented. "Ya" because baseball is called "Yakyuu" and "kka~" because soccer is caller "sakka~" with a long "ah" at the end. But I also believe Tatsuki vetoed the game because it was just too damn easy to score using a soccer ball in the place of a baseball.

Re: Introduction Thread

how do you type soccer again "sakka"???

Re: Introduction Thread

I believe it is "sakkaa"

Re: Introduction Thread

does it sounds like "sucker"?

Re: Introduction Thread

I believe it is "sakkaa"

Yeah, probably the best way to type it, but I just used the ~ to show a elongated "ah"sound.

does it sounds like "sucker"?

Not quite. I'm not sure how to really explain it. But ryk's spelling would work

And I'll stop here before I get blasted by one of our lovely mods for being offtopic. Please don't me.

Re: Introduction Thread

sakka~ = soccer and also sucker

I actually never introduced myself in this thread.....o.O
so does that mean I'm still considered new?

Re: Introduction Thread

Just make your introduction, Yoshitsune, even if you copy+pasted it from your thread. You could also leave a link to your thread here BoffenJL wanted to make his intro when he reached 500 posts, IIRC.

Don't worry, WinterLion. I won't ban you for being off topic Heck, I'm guilty

Re: Introduction Thread

Sup all,

My names Chris. I live in Maryland and working for an Audio/Video Solutions company. Obviously, I love manga and anime. I enjoy mainly Naruto and Bleach.. and on occasion, I will look at One Piece just to see whats going on. I cant wait for the anime fillers for both shows so I can start watching them again, but the mangas are keeping me more than entertained . One day, I was at work and came across this quaint little website called MangaHelpers.com and was hooked . Beyond the realm of manga/anime, I also like making beats on the side in my studio (which I miss doing atm cause I just moved and everything is still not unpacked and set up ) I enjoy listening to old soul/r&b/jazz/orchestral music (mad inspiration). Most of the new stuff I listen to is alot of indie hip-hop. Some of the new ish I have on my current playlist: Little Brother, MF Doom, Madlib, Buckshot/9th Wonder... pretty much anything thats dope. I look forward to interacting more in here after I settle into the new place. Anyways, just wanted to throw an small intro out there. Sup and peash to all!
