I was wondering when Jujutsu Kaisen was gonna get a full section! Loved the anime, I’m wondering if I should just start reading it or atleast wait for Chapter 0 movie to come out.

Anyway, pretty excited for this to happen! Nice to see you guys

I think we'd all say to start reading now

, it gets even better from where the anime left off (chap 63). The movie is in winter 2022, so still a ways off. For 0, you could read it after chap 78, it's where it fits best chronologically.

Winter 2021 you mean

But even if we get the movie in Japan in November or December, the west still has to wait around another 6 months for the bluray release... so it's at least a year a way for us, likely even more.

I actually read Volume 0 before I started with chapter 63, and think this is a very interesting way to experience the flashback arc.

Like you already know how Geto ends up and what he's like later on, so it makes you quite curious how he changed so drastically when you see he used to be a pretty good guy.

I agree that it probably fits better after chapter 78, but it works well before that too (at least for me xD).
And let's be honest, Volume 0 is a must read. Can't wait to see MAPPA giving that glorious animation to some of the amazing scenes in there.

Honestly I don’t feel like this series needed its own section. As much hype as the new anime gave it, it’s still not talked about all that much.

I agree, to an extent. I liked it being a small little place for everyone but the series has gotten big and it deserved its own section with more exposure. And believe it or not, JJK has been topping manga sales charts for a while now (even more than KnY at the moment) and the anime did extremely well. It’s still not too heavily focused on on MH but that will also change, it’s very popular.

How much would season 2 be able to cover of the manga? Of course they would adapt Shibuya, but till where? My speculation is that they can fit the whole arc, up till Okkotsu making the binding vow to kill Yuji, ending the season on a neat and intriguing cliffhanger. That'll be around 10 or so more chapters than what season 1 did (season 1 adapted 62 chapters iirc) but it's plausible because large part of the Shibuya Incident arc are battles and those consume much less time than dialogue or exposition.

63 chapters, actually.
I think season 2 should be like what Haikyuu does, for eg. Part one and part two because shibuya arc have more than 130 chapters iirc. Although I agree with you, it should end with the cliffhanger of Okkotsu doing the BV.

Wait wut? Shibuya is actually 53 chapters, 56 if we want to count the Mechamaru vs Mahito fight. I think Season 2 can easily end at 137 when Yuta arrives.

My bad. Meant to say it goes till chapter 130+(136), from 63 where season 1 ended and I was including the hidden inventory arc. 73 chapters.

I caught up to Jujutsu Kaisen & I have to say it’s great! Also darker than I expected it to get lol we don’t usually see it get this dark in Jump. I like that this series doesn’t pull its punches though, I did love the early balance of this & the light hearted scenes as well.

Also thank you @Static for the heads up on the break! I hope Akutami gets well soon
