Also, as compared to PoT; SPoT isn't really much high as its prequel; PoT was really popular before it went to the national tournament arc.

Perhaps, but all we can do is speculate at this point.

Yeah, PoT sold a lot more than SPoT. I do expect a big increase in the sales figures for Volume 8 though as it's all Atobe and those yaoi fangirls do love their Atobe, especially the AtoTez moment with Niou.

Hiroyuki Takei will be having a new oneshot in Jump SQ in the September issue (coming out on August 4th).

It probably won't be an Ultimo oneshot either. I'm really hoping it's a Butsu Zone oneshot. That way Takei could have all of his "main" series running at the same time in 4 different magazines. Shaman King Flowers in JumpX (Kai), Ultimo in JumpSQ19, Jumbor in Ultra Jump, and then this new oneshot!

For Hiroyuki Takei's oneshot... a more accurate title of 「ヤハべえ」would be "Yahweh" or "Jehovah." (Mankin-Trad will most likely be going with "Jehovah" for the Edited Manga) He always picks weird names, like it's "Jumbor" not "Yunbor." So the same should apply here with this title.

(But disappointed that it's not Bustu Zone!)

Kono Oto Tomare looks beautiful, and it's a music series at that. The odds of it being quickly translated are low though so I might have to completely forget about the series, but who knows I might be pleasantly surprised.

I have a question. Is SQ ranking the series the same way WSJ does in their magazine? I mean the popular series at the front and the less popular in the back. If so, D.Gray-man is quite low (one of the few series I have heard about in SQ).

If you look at D.Gray-man's and Hunter x Hunter's sales, you'll see that they sell more than most WSJ/SQ series, so it's not like they're not popular. But they always rank poorly, which leads me to believe that the readers punish them for going on hiatus too much.

So Hiroyuki Takei's new oneshot will officially be called "Yahabe" (I know, I was thinking it would be Jehovah... but oh well). A new CG trailer is out... and the animation will be released in English. It might even be dubbed? Plus, you can file this under "it's a rumor but all the pieces fit" and the manga will be licensed by Viz and released in Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha. That announcement will come out on Tuesday. (Why would you only release the CG animation... and it's from Jump SQ... and you have a big annoucement at the same time...)
