Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

PoT is the bestselling series in the magazine, guess being hi in the TOC should be taken for granted.

This fact makes me sad as well. Really, it feels like its riding the coattails of its last incarnation rather than being judged off of this current incarnation's quality. Which isn't good at all.

Aside from that, I'll have to start reading Ao no Exorcist soon. I kind of wish someone would scan Binbōgami ga! as well. It looks interesting enough.

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

I'm surprised that ULTIMO is doing so bad. I guess Stan Lee means nothing to most readers.

By the way, why is PoT being very silly by having two short chapters every month? I hope DGray don't do that.

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

i think the translation has a mistake. i see katakana for 'URU' is below Tegami Bachi, so Ultimo's position in ToC is second

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

i actually didn't much care for old prince of tennis past halfway, so its kinda refreshing to see this one.

oh and we established after like half a year that the toc is pretty much pointless, based purely on editor decision

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

While most if not all magazines also include post cards for fan feed back, Weekly Jump is one of the only ones that constructs it's TOC based on the results. Sunday also may, to some degree. Most magazines will cancel series that get poor poll results they just don't make the winners and losers so obvious.

thanks for pointing it out n sorry to make everyone confused coz I just looked those names up in wikipedia.

btw, dgm's moving introduces DGM to SQ readers n at the same time DGM's fans start noticing SQ. Seems like its a win win situation.

I can only imagine that the sales of SQ will get higher with DGM's insertion into the raks

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

Considering many of D.Gray's fan are older reader and non WSJ buying public, SQ's sales is going to rise. Not too mention, the manga in SQ are usually intended for reader older than Jump's core reader, they won't have to worry buying the magazine because the other mangas are also very interesting

Has anyone read the new series of SQ Jump?

Dr. Ruru, I kinda liked it, its a echi rival to Rosario XD

And the oneshot of Makoto Raiku is AWSOME!!

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

It's another one shot by the mangaka of Zatch Bell. Goshimei Desu! is by the mangaka of Kaikan Phrase, I'm not sure if it's a series or one shot. If it's a series I want a translation. Dr. Rurru is a new series, very ecchi, very moe. Not bad by the look of the raws.

Hopefully someone scans Dr. Rurru. It looks interesting so far from the RAW and I like those color pages.

just read Dr.Rurru, the art and characters seem good, but the plot is so bad.

Its the first chapter. I'll give it some more time before I pass judgment on it but it wasn't that bad.

I guess this is the last new series of the year since DGM is taking the spot of that other one that ended.
