I'm also happy since that means SQ keeps Dr. Rurru around.
We're not sure about Dr.Rurru is safe or not. There's two new series coming, at least two old series has to end/move.

Even Dr.Rurru survives this round of cancellation, it has to compete with To Love-Ru (they both have harem, romantic comedy, ecchi, and sci-fi). Whether people like it or not, there has to be comparison between these two series.

Ooh, loving the Gekka bijin cover.

*Scurries away before people can ask where the chapter two translation is.*

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

It looks like lots of hit WSJ mangakas from early to mid 2000s are starting to move to Jump SQ. I wonder if Kawashita (author of Ichigo 100%) and Matsui (author of Nerou) also going to move to Jump SQ, too.

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

The ones that move though seem to be ones who couldn't maintain success in WJ after their first (or second) hit ended. Murata so far is the only example of a WJ seemingly going to SQ not because he couldn't make it back in Jump (You could say Yabuki is the same but his case was strange to begin with). I would honestly prefer Matsui either go back to Jump or go the seinen route rather than go to SQ. It would be nice if SQ doesn't completely turn into a WJ dumping ground. -_-;

It is confirmed that Amano Youichi (author of Over Time, Akaboshi) going to serialize its work on upcoming SQ.19. Also, it said "Prologue" on the front of the title, so there is possiblity that Amano will be serialize on either Jump SQ or SQ.19.

This is great news!! I'm a Amano fanboy so I really hope he comes up with something that can stick this time. It should be easier in a monthly magazine, but I just hope he's worked on his story telling a bit.

Thank God Amano Youchi's found a stable place to start a new series! His artwork is just so godly. Here's hoping the story will be good, and not introduce 3-5 new characters every chapter. Hopefully he's teaming up with someone, just as Obata normally does.

It still might get cancelled though... :s

Amano's new work is called "Examurai Joshou", it is anime (aired on 2009) that based on model of EXILE (Japanese Singer). Also, its first manga adaptation was released on Monthly Shonen Champion, and I'm not sure whether it is still ongoing or not.

You can see Amano's version of "Examurai" on here:

So Examurai going to start on Jump SQ. I didn't watch anime nor manga by other mangaka, so I'm not sure it is good or not. But I'm glad to see Amano is coming back.

Also, I would like G-maru Edition to move to Jump SQ because I really liked first chapter and I can't wait another three months to see next chapter, it is too long to wait. :crying

I'll miss you Dr. Rurru. You were a fun little series.

I get Watsuki and Yabuki color for the November issue. That can partially make up for the sad news for the October one.

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

Moonlight Mile creator Yasuo Ohtagaki and Eyeshield 21 artist Yuusuke Murata have collaborated to launch a new manga called Donten Prism Solar Car in the October issue of Jump Square magazine on Saturday. The story centers around a young man who works at an ironworks factory to save money for college. One day, a group of engineering students visit the ironworks storehouse where he lives and ask for his technical expertise in building a solar car.
from ANN.

I wonder if it's a one-shot.

It is confirmed that famous mangaka from Kodansha (no experience in Shueisha) will be releasing one shot on November.
