Claymore, Kurenai, Ultimo, To Love (Color)
I love this choice of color for this issue. So looking forward to them.

Ah well SB is gone but thats fine. Wasn't really all that interested when they serialized it.

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

Gate7 becomes a series from Jump Sq # 03 (02/04). This will be the direct result of the One Shot.
http://www.manga-news.com/index.php/actus/2010/10/31/Gate7-Clamp-devient-une-serie

#12 :
Sengoku 3 (End)
Last Tankôbon will be out febuary 4 with last chapter 100p. This last chapter will be the direct result of the Jump Sq #12 chapter.

#01 :
Ao no Exorcist (Cover, Lead Color and Big Big News -Perhaps Anime-)
Claymore, Kurenai, Ultimo, To Love (Color)
That TOC of the #01 edition, why dgm doesnt has a color page? why ? :(

The serilization of Clamp's one shot mean that there going to be another series that going to be. I wonder which one will be. I wonder what Jump SQ editors look for deciding which one to axe, either ranking or tank sales.

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

Here's a scan of the prizes for the Jump SQ 3rd Anniversary Draw. There's signed pics from everyone serialized here:

Also, here's the preview for the next issue. Nothing interesting though:

They've updated the vote incentive wallpapers for the survey. They all come in size 1680 x 1050:

I, um, got the DGM one without thinking, but if you'd like one of them (e.g. Sengoku Bankara; it just ended so it might not stay there for very long) and don't have an s-manga.net account, PM me and I'll get the one mentioned most next time. (1 wallpaper per vote per month) Thanks Akiyama!

For those of you who do have an account, you can vote here with this code: y34tk

Finally, would anyone prefer if I put LQ scans of the TOC up? I've got about six issues so far, though they're really only good for the mangaka comments.

Awesome news! Ao no Exorcist deserves an anime indeed :thumbs Can't wait, and hope a good studio has gotten it!

Oh my god, seriously!? That's fantastic. I haven't really read it recently, but have always rooted for the series. But isn't it a little too soon for an anime?

Wayy to soon for an anime. Only maybe a 12 or 13 episode worth of content. Maybe we can hope they make their own plot and don't screw it up..? Here's hoping!

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

It will be two years old when it premiersr, which is pretty typical for an anime. It will probably only get 12 episodes anyway, like Rosario + Vampire a few years back.

If they get some original/filler episodes, I think AnE can get 24 or 25 episodes, like Tegami Bachi.

I wonder why To Love-Ru is getting colors in every chapter.

Is Mitokon a short page gag series, or normal length series?

Re: Jump Square (Monthly Shounen Mag by Shueisha)

Has this been posted yet? I don't remember it being posted, and checked back a couple of pages and didn't see it, but if it has, feel free to delete :)

Akiyama posted the link for the circulation info for WSJ in another thread, but I thought the figures for SQ were pretty interesting as well, especially comparing the two magazines' demographics.

Total Circulation: 365,000
% Male readers: 70.6%
% Female readers: 29.4%

Reader Strata
Primary School and below: 3.1%
Middle School: 19.1%
High School: 17.4%
Undergraduates/Vocational School Students: 10.6%
Working Adults: 38.9%
Others: 10.9%

Readers by Age Group
16 and below: 32.4%
17-19: 14.5%
20-23: 17.3%
24-27: 11.7%
28 and above: 24.1%

Definitely interesting to note that only 46.9% of SQ readers are 19 and below, while for Jump, readers 18 and below make up a whopping 89.5%. Also, proportionally more female readers for SQ than for Jump. Perhaps because of series like D.Gray-Man which have more female readers than the average shounen...?

It's sad that the circulation of SQ is a mere fraction of WSJ's (2.85 million), there are so many good manga in SQ too! :( It's considerably cheaper to advertise in SQ, as well, for obvious reasons I suppose.
