Mmm... Guys kinda very off topic but do any of you know anything about Beet the Vandel Buster? It ran on Monthly but got on a hiatus .. can't remember when but IIRC around 2005 or so, I have just read Viz volumes because I liked the mangakas previous work Dai No Daiboken and the story.
Beet which only got like 12 volumes got like 75 anime episodes which is a lot for only 12 volumes, it surely looked like the next big thing (And I know it had the potential since the mangaka are very talented), I have heard various rumors such as one of the mangakas being ill or something like that, anyone knows exactly what happen?
Have they like.. ever mentioned them on SQ or something?

The Storywriter Riku Sanjo had a big role in the recent Digimon animes (Xros wars and the one that is right now) and the artist is the one who's shape in unknown at least from what I understand.

I hope he's still alive.

I really want to here if Inada is in good health or not. It has been five and a half year since Beet went to hiatus. I really miss this series.

last official statement was on the official site for Beet back when Monthly Jump closed its doors, and that was basically just the same "due to ill health" statement released when the series initially went on hiatus. Common thought is that if it returns it'll be in Jump SQ, but until then we just have 12 volumes and an uncollected chapter to tide us over

Well, we can't complain since To Love-Ru Darkness is one of top selling series in SQ.

But, one thing that surprise me is To Love-Ru Darkness actually get more edtiorial attetion than Ao no Exorcist. I understand if AnE gets special attention since it is current highest selling series in SQ, but TRD gets more attention than AnE.

I don't think a To Love Ru Darkness anime will boost the manga sales that much, its a much more emm.. niche title than Blue Exorcist and you could say that Darkness already had 2 animes and a set of OVAs since its a continuation of To Love Ru.

It could have more to do with Yabuki receiving more attention than Kato. He is a senior mangaka, in addition to writing a popular series.

Well, it is undestandable since Yabuki has more longer career and more hit series than Katou. But, Yabuki didn't have series that have same tank sale as Ao no Exorcist. So, I'm kind of surprised the editors don't give lots of covers, color pages, and side stories to AnE.

Another factor that has yet to be mentioned is the speed in which they work, while Yabuki had the ability to deliver weekly chapters or about 20 pages with very good artistic skills Katou has only done monthlys in her career and in the last interview she has stated that she has a hard time keeping with the schedule and even if she might be able to draw faster she gives a lot of attention so small details, backgrounds and most of all story progression.

I think the full name for new series from May Issue is this one, Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.

I think it is a manga-adaptation of this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ano_Hi_Mita_Hana_no_Namae_o_Bokutachi_wa_Mada_Shiranai

Also, it is said that Chiisana Hiroba is actually a mini-series, so it possibly end within three chapters like Kekkai Sensen (well, this one restarted in SQ.19), Goshimei Desu, and Dust to Dust.
