Theory Kiritani will play for China

Was going through Sai the Shamans website to see if maybe some of the new chapters had been translated (Im impatient) and I decided on whim to go re read 173-174. In the translations it says - "he easily and completely defeated - The No. 4 of the Genius 10, a man called Kiritani."

Now we know that after this loss Kiritani was replaced at sometime by Ryoga. So I'm beginning to think they either left Kiritani in Macu or he stayed (for those unaware Macu is in China). Thus I'm wondering if he will join China's team for the World Cup.

Futhermore if either USA will play them (China) for Revenge on Ryoga or Japan will play them (China) for revenge on Japan/Byodoin.

Interesting idea and I'd really like to see this happen, but I'm not really convinced it's going to. Kiritani seemed more like a throwaway character to me considering Konomi didn't even bother telling us his first name. In general I interpreted the scene more along the lines of Kiritani being forced to retire like Kaji was after his match with Oni.

If it does happen, though, I'm pretty convinced it will be China vs Japan. That way you could potentially pull up one of the lower ranked characters to G10 level or something along those lines.

Yea I don't see it happening. He has enough characters as is. I realize this wouldn't really introduce anyone new, they would just be a villain. But there is no need to waste time with that backstory.
