Cleaning Looking for Filters

Mostly denoisers and such... >

I've tried some programs, but seems they only do colored o_o

Since there's been an influx of people using filters, I'd like to try it out out of curiousity...

Photoshop's denoise filter leaves a LOT to be desired...

yah... help me save time :P

Most denoising filters aren't worth a crap. I've tried so many of them, none of them left me satisfied, to be honest.

But if someone does roll around and hook you up with a good one, let me know.

Not all filters. A lot of scan teams use filters.

those filters aren't stuff you download off the net... they're custom made. it's unlikely anyone will hook you up with one. you'll just have to try and create your own.

EDIT: or buy it... though you'd need to customize it heavily to get it working on grays.

Actually, you can find a whole bunch of filters on the internet. I think what you're thinking of is scripts, these are what people don't want to divulge because they've spent many hours building their scripts with lots of trial and error and most won't want to simply hand over their hard work.

In trying to advance my own pre-cleaning skills I asked a few cleaners about it and most of them use stock PS filters along with a few filters they got from the internet for their scripts, no one really used a custom built filter.

There's no filter that does that. Recording an action then executing it over open files in photoshop would probably be your best bet.

Personally, I wouldn't do batch editing like that unless you really know what you're doing with the filters. Since one filter setting won't work well on all pages it could have very adverse affects on a full chapter.

I probably would only consider doing it if I became as good as Fnuckle or allashandra when pre-cleaning.

Well, Vivacity has treated me pretty well, I'd recommend that.
