Scheduling

I‘ve been told that several people are planning to host games, so to avoid any problems like people cutting into each other‘s game signups and other things we may need a schedule of games.

For anyone who plans to host a game, you can either write in this thread for what month/day you‘re planning a game or edit it in the schedule yourself if you can.

Note that there‘s no limit to how many games can be had per month, but try not to have 2 games running at the same time.

Sign-ups!

To everyone who usually plays MG or those that don‘t want to miss signups, we‘re testing a new way to alert everyone to a new game instead of mass tags before each game.

All you have to do is go to >>this thread<< and press Watch on the top corner of the thread. I or a host will post there and notify everyone like this whenever a new game starts.

[Original Post]

While hosting overall isn't necessarily hard, it's very easy to mess things up as we have seen plenty of times already. This naturally happens more often with newer hosts.

In order to get these new hosts familiar with how the game works behind the scenes and make it a smoother experience for everyone (no one wants a cancelled game!), we are establishing these sets of rules that follow the methods that have been used in the last 50 games:

-If it's your first time hosting, it's MANDATORY to have the help of someone that has hosted before. As long as they aren't banned, it doesn't matter if this person hosted twenty times or just once. This experienced host will be the "Main Host", while the new one assumes the role of "co-host".
-Tasks will be split in a rather equal manner so that the Main Host can keep things in check while the Co-host gets hands-on experience to learn properly.
-The Main Host has the final say when it comes to decisions (ideally, this won't need to be enforced heavily, it's mostly to avoid possible issues).

Once the game is over, the co-host can host on their own and even take the role of "experienced host" for a new host in need!

Alright you people. On lunch break and want to let you know about my life yesterday and why disappeared, which I was sorry to brandish for. As this is more of me complaining about crap then anything game related, am posting it here.

1. 12 hour day so that was crap
2. Was busy af
3. Ended up being 13 hours because the one coworker that always late or straight misses came in an hour late. For second consecutive day
4. Was raining (cuz hurricane and whatnot)
5. Was night
6. Car blew out down in the middle of nowhere
7. No signal
8. Did I mention in middle of nowhere?
9. In the middle of the freaking road, nowhere to pull out And on other side of a hill
10. Has to drive to a place could pull off
11. Finally got a call out to parents who called my cousin. Took him an hour to get to me (my commute to work is 40-45 mins long)

12. Got more guys’ phone number and addresses in that span of time then any club..... dudes were stopping left and right asking if needed help...you would think it was sunny and I was in a bikini or something with the hood popped up.. but it was night and idk as a lone girl..... who plays mafia game.... they could all be SK...... especially if they looked a bit sketchy. Where my gun?

14. My cousin had no intention of replacing my tire with my spare in the rain; he was just going to pick me up

15. finally a guy stopped who wouldn’t take my “no I’m good, my cousin is coming to help” and got out to fix my car. And he looked trustworthy so I got out with him since rain had let up.

16. this dude fixed my tire in the rain; didn’t take any payment, just didn’t like seeing a damsel in distress

Basically just being stupid

23. come to work this morning and one of the machines is reading that the lab organism that could kill us within 24 hours.... probably computer glitch cuz the growth of organism is wrong for that species but still....... walking into “you going to die” not a good way to start day after how yesterday went

24. my mother and cousin now say that I should do something to my car before I leave work everyday so that I can find a husband :shootme

Since this is out of the game thread, I'll speak more freely and would like to request you to stop calling people things - you didn't appreciate the leash comment yourself, so no need to extend it to others and call them animals, idiots, one dimensional, and the likes. Let's just foment a respectful environment here if that's what we wanna see in future games and in the forum overall...

Hosting solo is extremely premature for you, a comprehensive knowledge of the game is the second thing you need in order to host a game (and starting with an experienced co-host).

The first thing is being able to respect basic forum rules about your behaviour towards other people, something which seems to me you're very far from wanting to follow.
