I actually liked this week's chapter.

But yeah it's really not doing that great right now, kind of fell apart after the Zodia stuff.

This weeks was funny but yeah it semed to have so much potential but the author seems to taking it to the funny comedic side only he needs a good long arc now :/ i kinda liked the chapters but its dissapointing from the way it first started out :/

you knew it was going this route after the last 2 chapters, first a kissing chapter, now a best couple arc.

I guess to pump up the ratings the mangaka is attempting to introduce more romance into the manga since what he was doing before saw his ratings plummet.

It's a thing he should do, his battles are too swift (compared with the normal battle manga) just like Reborn. Because of this character interaction matters a lot. For example Emma is showing her vunerable side in a cute way. This makes a comical and produces growth in the manga. The battles were interesting but a bit bland due to the swiftness and the lack of build up. I would be very likely to see a battle against the "piggie" couple at the end of this arc. This way the reasons and motivation for battle is much clearer and improves the battle dramatically (or so I hope ).

It looks like we are finally going to see a bit of Shion and Emma's past, I hope we at least get to see why Shion was left to die in the woods where Emma meet him.

Shion's mother is freaking heartless,I really hope Shion gets to punch her in the face in a future chapter. This flashback showed that Shion's dedication to Emma is really more impresive than we ever though since he manage to become one of the strongest mages with a body that is suppose to be weaker than the average human.

Shion = Totally Romi Park character, it's not surprising xD
I think it's good news, it means media is interested in Magico, and as long as media is interested, volumes sell well and chapters rank out of the bottom 5 (which in this case is the dangerous one), the manga will continue.
