I wasn't a bleach fan before giving birth, was bleach even there back then?
So it's more like the manga just making me freaking more hyped up about it, by kubo naming one of the cutest characters Nell XD
I wasn't tempted to name my kid after some cartoon character, but maybe because that name was already in my head long before she was born...
Now pets on the other hand... my cat's name is Harry, the other one was Rhett Butler, and if I ever decide to have a ferret, guess its name, will ya?

My daughter's new stuffed kitty has been named Ichigo. Her ponies have japanese names.

Was never tempted to name my kids after manga. I guess because I wanted them to have a name with a deeper meaning than something from a manga. ^^

Just how do you do it? How can you girls take care of your kids/work/clean/cook and still have time to have fun in here with us and even become mods and help us out all the time?

Everytime I think about that, I go "wow".

As I browsed through the pages, I just couldn't stop laughing. Thanks to all the mums here for making my day. You know, I still don't get it. How can a mother love anime and manga? Even my 20-year-old brother won't ever ever watch Naruto anime or read manga. Why the strange love for anime and manga?

I guess some of us, if not most, have been manga/anime lovers long before we've become mothers/fathers, and that is love that never dies. I can't imagine ever stop liking manga
Sure,we are busy sometimes, but so are all other people. Reading a manga chapter doesn't take that much time, you know
Talking to fellow otakus on the forums is so much fun. I don't watch tv for example, think how much free time that gives me! XD

Are we too old for naruto? And what are we supposed too do, just stop reading after years, because we're grown up and are not the shounen target anymore? I want to know what happens next, dammit!

My mom is quite the redundant person. She hates anime and manga but she loves Dragonball (Anime). It's awesome to hear married people with kids still have the time to read manga! Well, when I do you know how LONG I've been here, heheheheh!

Eni invited me over here since I am a mommy too. I briefly read through the posts and will try and stop by regularly. I have three children and one is already fully grown and just turned 20. The other two are 10 and 11 (almost 12).

I know of atleast one other 'daddy' on these forums but I'm not sure how 'out' he is about his personal life he is so I won't name names.

As for doing all this with kids. Once the kids are older it is actually a lot easier to do. I wasn't into manga and anime when kids were younger so that wasn't a conflict but I was into others so time management has always been a helpful skill to have. I had an 8 o'clock bedtime for the kids when they were younger. It was important to keep that bedtime for constancies sake but also after 8 o'clock was my 'me' time so unless something really special was going on they were in their rooms and at least attempting sleep and I had a few hours to decompress before I went to bed.

That really does suck. And the timing couldn't be worse of course. Just when you have some free time you feel like that. I'm sorry to hear it.
