For somehow the effect looks like what an Ark would do to a Demon.
That's relative to the level of an individual. Here's how it works:
- The Ark of Nerobasta did nothing to Derriere. The Ark of Elizabeth, the SD's daughter, destroyed her hand!
The same goes for Darkness. OG Gowther's darkness can obliterate Nerobasta and Jelamet, but it can't do the same for Mael!

I am not talking what demon they can effect with their powerlevel. The effects look very much similar to how an Ark effects a Demon(who is effected by it) or more simply their working mechanism.

Yup, I know .. and I just said that the Darkness can do the same effect to a goddess. We've seen in the Movie's side chapter (Mael vs Meliodas) how that Orb of Darkness unleashed by Meliodas destroyed the subordinate goddesses of Mael.

Well maybe Meliodas has the ability to "erase" anything completely.Quite an OP ability no doubt.

I’d like to hear a brief theory on what you all think Meliodas’ innate magic ability can do

It's amazing how in the space of a few chapters Nakaba ruined the gods.
I remember back in chapter 224 when we actually saw the DK and SD in the flashback, I was like “wow, these guys must be nearly unbeatable”.

But now, in just a few chapters, a lot of their hype as end game villains died.

Tbh it's hard to see them as threats now and not something Meliodas can easily deal with.

Your reasonings are lost on me. Care to explain?

Here's Cruchyroll's translation of the part of Meliodas and DK:

BTW, the DK's statement in the first panel confirms what I said before about Meliodas achieving impossible feats by using his "ability". Destroying the body of the DK from what we can get from his words seems virtually IMPOSSIBLE because of whatever reason (either because he's using The Ruler or just because he's already in an "immortal" realm: Purgatory" ... but nevertheless, Meliodas was able to actualize that impossible feat!

Besides his magic being able to destroy the DK's flesh, do you think it also utilizes his darkness to along with some kind of "negation?"

Theoretically, he possibly can use it with other attacks, in the same way Merlin uses her infinity. But in the case of destroying his father's arm, nothing suggests that he used any form of darkness.

I hope Meliodas’ magic is called “Destroyer” or something along the lines of that

The name is not that important. For instance, the name of Zen'Oh's ability is simply "Erase" .. and it is by far the most OP power in the series of Dragon Ball Super:
  • Erase - The ability to destroy anything with one or two balls of blue magical energy. This includes immortal beings and entire universes, since it eliminates every single trace of any entity, both material and immaterial. This power is by far the strongest and deadliest technique in the series.

Well from the hints we gotten so far I think when the DK said it could of kept Mel in contention with his power I feel that was a complete understatement

Can you refer me to the page where he said that?

Along with his original magic does Meliodas also have some magic that affects gravity? (I’m thinking back to when he had Zeldris and Estarossa pinned down to the ground)

So Meliodas used his OG Magic in Danafor, Against Zeldris’s girl and Galan.

And he was probably about to use it against Dolor and Gloxina.

I don't think he used it in Danafor, nor against Gelda or Galan. The only occasion when Meliodas might have used a glimpse of his OG Magic, is when he injured Ban. This page obviously indicates that, and debunks the claim that the flames of Purgatory are the cause of Ban' scars.
I think Ban's first two panels are clearly implying that.
1- "Having come to Purgatory, it's clearer now than ever". By this, he meant that before coming to Purgatory, he was actually suspicious of the "real" thing that caused those scars on his "immortal" body. We can say that he wasn't satisfied with the claim that the Flames of Purgatory are the thing which caused the scars.
While after coming to Purgatory, he became certain that it wasn't the Flames, nor the ice of Purgatory; as they fail to leave even a small scratch on his body. He concludes then:
2- "You've got some crazy strength". I think it is definitely a foreshadow of Meliodas' OG Magic from Nakaba.

Never thought about this. So it is highly likely that what caused this scar wasn't purgatory flames but Mel's OG magic? Makes sense, I don't remember Purgatory Flames nullifying someone's regeneration in the entire series besides that scene. If that's the case, we're talking about some crazy foreshadowing here.
