There is absolutely no reason why he shouldn't have attempted to use such a power, even if it has consequences.

Hence the whole ''they believe'' isn't Zeldris or Meliodas, but the editor believing they have a mother.



We already have the reason of the original Gowther being imprisoned - it was because he was such a power magician that the Demon King simply couldn't ignore his presence and once he defied to join the Ten Commandments - was punished.

This makes sense, given how Gowther mind fucked the Demon King for billions of years.

Because that power could " destroy " or " erase " his lover or his friends's existence if it isn't controlled well.

That fate is much worse than death, think about it fool, you need to do a lot in order to scare someone like Meliodas.

Death doesn't scare him, what is worse than death? You get it now?

He has God Tier limitations on an entire world, he is easily God Tier with that OG power of course.
