The more I investigate Meliodas' story, the deeper I realised the character is compared to
basically everybody in NNT. Some of you have criticized him as shallow or plain... shame on you
If he is shallow or plain, everybody else is also but to ((((52 factorial))))
You'd have a better time with this character if you just accepted that he had already being the Strongest Character in all of NNT, about to walk the same path as his Tyrant Papa until Elizabeth threw a monkey ranch in that plan by changing Meliodas' worldview, that all life is important & discrimination is a fundamentally destructive thing.
Once you stop the needless complaint of how overpowered he is (how can the next King of all the Demon Realm not be overpowerd? Common sense even dictates that the later surpasses the former) & recognised that all this was according to Nakaba's design, I think you'd at least find Meliodas tolerable.
The jouney for Meliodas has nothing to do with his power level considering that from day one (3000yrs ago) he already had the title of the "Almighty, Strongest Demon". It doesn't really even have anything to do with breaking the damn curse of the Gods (considering all Meliodas has to do is revert to his destructive old ways by tapping into his God-like powers & break the curse). His journey has everything to do with how he
has tried to live a different life under the docturine of Elizabeth.
Right now, I think he might be on the verge of giving up (I'm even talking about his good emotion giving up) & just accept that once he activates his God magic & break the curse, he might fall into the darkside & disappear. Let us see if something prevents him from succumbing to his darkside. The body in the Human World in a sense currently represents the darkside, the emotions in Purgatory represents the lightside (which thanks to Elizabeth's docturine had grown, & thanks to his recent purgatory experience with Wild & Ban for 60 years had grown much more, possible matured). When the lightside of Meliodas confronts the darkside of Meliodas, I think the light would win this time around. The SDS would probably assist, Gowther should be able to translate the feelings of his comrades to Meliodas during that internal struggle. (It would be like a PoF moment but I won't have an issue with it considering how it is playing out thus far)
