I’m a person with common sense. Different stories have different rules, especially when it comes to magic. What’s presumptuous is you claiming that your precious feats of size set standards in any fictional universe. The reality is, large scale attacks, especially in manga, don’t mean shit. There good for the “woah” factor, but little else. All too often it comes down to a sub-building level attack to beat the strongest characters.

In short size don’t matter in Fairy Tail, cry about it all you like but the strongest attacks in the manga are only small building level. As for Bluenote, he has neither feats of size nor feats of actually hurting relevant characters, so fodder by today’s standards. The fact that he was beaten by a bigger attack than Merc just further proves my point. Merck is around Acno level because of statements, nothing more, in terms of feats he is woefully outclassed by many.
