There was only one game which I thought it was possible no one would know (I'm guessing that's the one you are referring to)
I assumed that the rest were certainly famous enough

... anyway, we decided that the bonus rounds shouldn't reward teams more than the main rounds.
I'm glad that (with the top team scoring only 10 points) we achieved that goal, at least!

I think the idea for the round is good but the execution of it made it really hard.
When you have to try to ignore the bi-sounds from the MIDI instruments used, picture the melody a lot more upbeat, consider that it might be a bass line in a song where the melody is what’s most recognizable, and stretch your hearing so that some notes which are a bit off fit in the way they should... all those things combined is a bit too much. To an extent I think those things are needed so it’s not too obvious. Not to mention some game picks were pretty obscure, but the round can’t be designed so everyone has heard all the songs a thousand times.

Anyway, I think such a round could be in future games but maybe test-run and polished a bit more.

I wasn't really planning on including it, to be honest.

But these past few months have been so busy that I didn't manage to finish most of the ideas I had/was working on (same reason why there is no bonus this time).

... you guys really need to play more/better games


If you've not, you really need to try and play each and every game on that list.

Oh, I actually know every single one of the games, haven't played a few of them. But for me to recognize music from them is way too much to ask, and for the current participants, I'd say that Orgz is right in this being a batch of "obscure" games.

All in all this could've been a fun round, but again, like Orgz said, the execution of the objectives themselves could've been a lot better, it's a fun idea like the other rounds, just made it VERY hard and mostly unrecognizable, imo. (I can't even recognize some of them now that I know where they are from and what theme/bit is used).

My god, I'm legitimately upset that I didn't pick up on so many of those game tunes for the bonus round. Midi instruments threw me off too much sounding like they weren't set to a tempo

FOURTH ROUND RESULTS

Guess what: your team has been hired as the staff responsible for the new Super Smash Bros champions creation! You guys will be in charge of deciding what/who will be the 03 new characters and delivering their concept arts!​

ROUND FIVE - DRAWINGS

• It consists of making 03 different drawings of 03 new Super Smash Bros champions and recognizing the other groups' drawings.
• You should pick existing characters that originally come from existing games, original creations or characters originated in other sources can't be used in here.
• A collaborative drawing tool will be sent to your group by PM, feel free to use it.
• The groups will have 24 hours to send the drawings to the hosts (first half).
• Immediatelly after it, the groups will have 24 hours to submit the answers (who are the characters in each drawing) to the hosts (second half).
• The groups will be rewarded according to the stated bellow:
  • 7.5 points per character correctly identified.
  • 10 points in case your drawings get at least 50% (half) of correct guesses by the other groups.
  • If a group fails to submit its drawings, it will count to the other groups as if they had correctly guessed them.
• The groups may achieve a maximum of 100 points by correctly identifying elements in this Round.
• The groups should PM me and @zimbardo with the drawings and answers.
• Incorrect answers will result in 0 points each.
• Each group may use the same Pad link to discuss the challenge (using it isn't mandatory though).
• This challenge will last 48 hours.

The Addams Family one threw me off. The organ note being cut off and the thump-sound between the finger snaps messed up the rhythm so I thought that was the one that was supposed to be the ”well-known sound” rather than the snaps..

Yeah it was just the snaps. The organ wasn't supposed to be there at all but I had trouble trimming the sound and the issues with my kid prevented me from looking for the clear sound before posting. Oh well, it is what it is.

Also Hardy is disappointed, he swore that the Banjo Kazooie one was easy lmao.
