Discussion Mihawk's Power Level

Neither Mihawk nor Shanks have been heavily featured, the strength and abilities of both characters are pure speculation. Open minded debate is welcome. His power level is strong enough to rival a yonkou (shanks), therefore it's obviously quite high, but we can't say for sure yet.
He seemed like an all-star at Marineford.

Out of 10, I'd say he is at least an 8.5.

If I had to predict his bounty based on power--it would be at least 500 million.

However, I don't think he is the most powerful character in One Piece, aside from being the strongest swordsman.

Mihawk's bounty amount is irrelevant one way or the other. He has been a shichibukai for years, it would not make sense for his former bounty to mean anything now. None of the bounties we have seen from shichibukai actually mean anything at all. I mean, take a look at doflamingo or boa. Doflamingo had a 340 mil bounty and boa had 80 mil. Does that number mean anything next to their strength? Doflamingo subjugated a nation and is easily able to take down people like law (was worth 440 mil) and boa was acknowledged even by sengoku. If mihawk had an updated bounty I can't imagine it being at any of the numbers we have seen so far, it has to be way higher than the highest one we have seen (ace was confirmed at 550 mil but mihawk should be worth well more than that if we consider ace was not even in WB's top 3 fighters).
