I don't have enough time to reply to all of these points so I'll only address the ones I vehemently disagree with, sorry.
Just because Mira is more gentle than in her youth doesn't mean she'll see herself as weak. Modesty + being caring does not equal weakness.
I've literally already explained this:
- Wahl is a Machias, therefor incredibly weak to electricity
- Laxus has already been hyped as one-shot killing Spriggans
- Red Lightning only worked because it had different properties to regular lightning and Wahl's Weakness couldn't analyse and defend against it in time
As I said before, Red Lightning is clearly a powerful spell but any mid-tier attack from Laxus could have killed Wahl if it weren't for his Weakness Magic.
On the other hand, the Secret Art is a Secret Art. A Slayers Secret Art has damn near always been the best spell in their arsenal - all not killing Kyria means is that Kyria has decent durability.
Show me a scan of this. In all the debates about Macro I've never seen this.
He said they were stronger than the Avatar fodder. Being slightly stronger fodder shouldn't make much of a difference if Macro is as hype as some make it out to be.
Complete head canon. We've never been told that Macro works like Fairy Law in regards to numbers.
If by "Demon Superiority" you mean Mirajane's resistance to Macro due to her Take-Over, all that means is that people who could be affected by Macro won't be if they practise the Satan Soul variant of Take-Over.
And again, show me evidence that numbers matter. There's no point mentioning numbers again and again when we have no source for this even being a weakness. Her Macro failed on fodder, Kyria is
far above fodder. 30 fodder is not matching Kyria's strength, so if that is Macro's upper limits for Mira then Kyria should be fine.
This is absolutely far fetched. Just because Irene was fond of J/H doesn't suddenly mean she would give them a protection from being controlled. If this were the case why wouldn't Irene have given them better durability? Seems far more useful than a random protection from being controlled.
Belittling Makarov's MP isn't a good claim to J/H being good, it could easily just mean that they are arrogant as hell (like most of the characters from Alvarez).
MP means nothing in the grand scheme of things, the Spriggans made FT members crap themselves due to their MP yet they still got annihilated all the same.
While fighting blind and for some reason not using Transport. Let's not pretend that Jacob wasn't restricted.
Mira being shocked that Irene is capable of High Enchantment doesn't affect the standing of J/H at all, not sure what you're trying to get across here.
The stuff about Macro failing on J/H because only Irene can command them is complete head canon AFAIK, please show me evidence of this.
BSS physicals are good, but we have no idea how their fight went. That punch may have just been the last in a long line of attacks or it could be the first hit she landed on him.
I'd lean more on the former though because not only is BSS having an unnamed punch on the level of FDKM Demo Fist absurd, but if BSS' unnamed punch is on that level then Mira needing Alegria to beat J/H is beyond stupid. They would be more durable than pretty much any Spriggan apart from August/Irene/maybe Larcade.
...
Because she never encountered any living enchantments.
If Seilah can control corpses and inanimate objects then living enchantments really isn't that much of a stretch.
Why would they fear Irene's MP? Not only is she an ally but its blatantly obvious to anyone that she's fond of them.
On the other hand Mira was an enemy they had drastically underestimated.
As for the sea feat, its impressive but all it means is that she has high MP. And as I mentioned earlier, when looking at the Spriggans it becomes very clear that high MP is nowhere near the most important factor in a fight.
Hype means damn near nothing when compared to feats. Look at the Spriggans - hyped as being unbeatable and then basically all of them except for August and Irene got stomped when faced with an actually strong character.
In the case of Mira, even if Laxus hyped her she still had to go all out against Spriggan subordinates.
Why wouldn't they? Mira has
always been held in high regard by her comrades.
The feats she as atm simply doesn't back that hype up, lets just look at the hyped peeps:
- Laxus (goes without saying this is deserved)
- Jellal (questionable given his recent showings but his performance pre-100YQ warrants this hype from an in-character perspective)
- Gajeel (considering his recent feats against Natsu this is somewhat deserved, clearly not as deserved as Laxus' but he's still strong)
- Mira (in the same boat as Jellal)
Honestly the problem of hype is that you always have to consider in-character knowledge and bias. Perfect example of this is the Spriggans. Makarov hyped the shit out of them but it made sense, he had spent a year in the capital and every Spriggan he met had crazy levels of MP, and he had no reason to be bias towards them because they were enemies. But when they actually fought FT? They got bodied and the hype died.
Now think about how Natsu hyped Mira/Gajeel/Jellal/Laxus. He didn't spend much of the Alvarez arc with any of them. Mira was either up North or in another part of Magnolia, Gajeel was up North and they only saw each other when they fought Acno, Jellal was in the South, was in a different part of Magnolia or was trying to distract Acno, and Laxus was in the South or a different part of Magnolia and they only met up when they fought Acno.
So at best the hype Natsu gave is only really reliable for Gajeel and Laxus. He hasn't actually seen Jellal fight since GMG, though he's at least fought Jellal in the past and knew he was strong then, and would have no reason not to be strong now - still, the hype could be unwarranted due to a lack of Natsu actually seeing Jellal fight during Alvarez/100YQ. As for Mira... I don't recall Natsu ever fighting Mira, nor seeing any of her fights after GMG/Tartaros. Much like with Jellal, the hype Natsu is giving her is mainly going off reputation rather than actual feats - thus doubt of this hype isn't unreasonable.
Now I'm not saying the hype is worthless, more that we should just be mindful that hype can be wrong. At the end of the day feats are going to be the majority of the argument, so my view on this could change drastically depending on Mira's condition or how she does next time we see her.
You just killed your own argument. Skullion nor Mira have pulled out their aces yet, but Mira is the one who looks beat up and hasn't put a scratch on Skullion. Skullion hasn't low-diffed her
yet since the fight isn't over, but the last we saw of Skullion vs Mira certainly makes it seem like a low-diff is happening.
Of course it currently is a 2 vs 2 and Mira definitely has the weakest link on her team, but its not like she's been tanking all of their attacks since Elfman has apparently been damaged enough to be knocked out of his Beast Soul.
Yeah, she definitely wasn't going all out against Lucy.
Its hard to say whether or not she wouldn't lay her hands on her though, the WW control technique has affected certain characters way more differently than others. With Jellal we know he genuinely loves Erza in a romantic way, whereas with Mira/Lucy its more familial. Regardless, I don't doubt Mira would beat Lucy, I'm just not sure if she could do it as casually as Kyria did.
