Re: Post Links or Pictures of the Most Memorable One Piece Moments

One of the coolest event was in Skypiea, when the SH crew took some gold without asking permission and tried to leave the island secretly. They were discovered and they run to escape, leaving Skypiea like bandits.
They thought they were being hunted. Actually, Skypiean people do not care for gold and wanted to give them more.

This moment was so great because it showed that they were above all pirates and not righters of wrongs.

Re: Post Links or Pictures of the Most Memorable One Piece Moments

I can't chose to me every page of every chapter is memorable xD
but just to post something here I go
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/363/07/
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/363/08/
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/363/14-15/ (although the anime was much better in this part.)

Aside Gcat88's post of course and as I said every chapter to me is memorable.

Re: Post Links or Pictures of the Most Memorable One Piece Moments

Yeah I agree with Lagoon. This is a wonderful moment. I have watched tons of times this episode and scenes. Just amazing how they escape, what determination.

And the way that Luffy explodes is amazing. One of the great moments for me. In the same league as Luffy beating Arlong and Krieg. Or Bellamy.

Re: Post Links or Pictures of the Most Memorable One Piece Moments

Good Bye Merry One of the most memoral moments for me. The manga chapter was great as well but the anime version makes it even more emotional especially with the flashbacks and music to go with the viking funeral.

Sorry if this is some of the latest stuff, but this is really is awesome!

http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/561/06-07/

But I focus on this moment only...

Spoiler

This is a moment that I can't ever get over... its one of the most unexpected but anticipated battles Luffy's ever fought. My reaction to this is ever the same as the first time I read it.
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/561/05/
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/561/06-07/

One of the rare moments that Luffy is not reckless and grasps the danger of this guy. He holds back from doing a Jet Bazooka, then Mihawk compliments him ever so calmly "You're surprisingly clear-headed....." Give false sense of confidence much?

Next page, Mihawk takes a huge swipe (!!!) and thankfully Luffy dodges, because in the next frame you see OMFGWTFBBQ he cut the freakin' FROZEN TSUNAMI?! which is how many miles away, and its a clean, straight slice, through the entire distance of the tsunami, plus it even lifts off from the base due to the force of the hit, then falls on the war waging below, creating more chaos... Damn, the way Oda drew that scene was amazing, its a picture more than enough of a message that Mihawk is still a monster compared to Luffy, making all that mess with only one swing! He demonstrates only a fraction of his power here... which is telling that Zoro needs to become much stronger now in order to defeat him.

Ending thoughts: its a good thing Luffy is clear-headed today... TOO YOUNG TO DIE!

Also, the scene later when Luffy uses Buggy as a scapegoat is hilarious, keeping up the humor of OP ^^

It probably takes the cake right here in my opinion.

However, there were a lot of moments that I really felt were memorable (on the powerful side not funny, that's a different list).

- Bellemere dying rather than deny being the proud parent of Nami and Nojiko
- Nami stabbing her Arlong Tattoo out of rage and despair (subsequent scene of her asking for help) the voice actor in this scene is superb.
- The Straw Hats march on Arlong Park
- Luffy instinctively knowing to destroy the map room and declaration of Nami being his nakama
- The City of Erumalu itself crying, (The wind passing through the hollow buildings, haunting sound in the anime)
- Rasa's story of her past belief in the king of Arabasta.
- Smoker letting the Straw Hats get away at Rainbase and his speech to Taishigi. "I don't hate you."
- Toto's plight to Vivi as well as his determination in digging up the water.
- Vivi and Luffy fighting
- Luffy's impaled by Crocodile
- Carue's determination
- Pell's sacrifice and Vivi's mental breakdown afterwards where she could only scream the same words over and over
- Luffy's fight in the Royal Tombs and the Rain falling on Arabasta (Taishigis revelation)
- The Silent Farewell, X is the mark of a Nakama
- Smoker telling off the Marines in the name of the Straw Hats / Taishigi's speech
- Montblanc Norland and the Shandian's past
- The defeat of Enel and the ringing of the bell
- Usopp's reaction to the news of Merry / Luffy vs. Usopp duel "..It's heavy."
- Luffy's reaction to Robin lying (Pushing the two buildings apart)
- Robin's past ("There is no such thing as being born into this world to be alone" / Nico Olivia)
- Burning the WG flag / Straw Hats line up to fight the CP9
- "I WANT TO LIVE"
- Usopp's speech to Luffy and Luffys scream of rage / final Gear Second to defeat Lucci
- Merry saving the Straw Hats / Merry's funeral
- Zoro taking all of Luffy's anguish and telling Sanji that "Nothing at all" had happened
- Everyone pretending to not be on the boat to Laboon
- Brook's crew dying until only Brook was left alive to mourn / life after death stuck in the Florian Triangle
- Luffy being unable to protect his crew as they all "died" one by one. (The sound of the bubbles and the last one popping after Luffy was sent flying sent chills down my spine)
- The Goodbye to Mr. 2 and his sacrifice

^I cannot wait to see this scene in the anime...
It gives me such an impact even in black-and-white and without a voice actor, I can't imagine what I'll feel in a year or whenever the anime gets that far.
