Aldoron had a punch that did a bunch of damage to DF Natsu when they clashed, and more of the same is really all that was needed. He could have just as easily kept thicket going instead of walking away.

I think Aldoron would have defeated DF Natsu if he wasn't weakened. His attacks were too fast for Natsu to perceive. Even if Natsu could burn them, it would only be after they've already impaled him. Natsu would just keep getting impaled. And really, Mest would have to teleport in, grab Natsu, and immediately teleport out. Otherwise Mest will get impaled too.

How would they separate the seed from Aldoron? The chamber is located in the middle of Aldoron's body. I suppose they could try to cast Sphere around the seed, but that would involve teleporting everyone inside the chamber. That makes them all targets that the seed can actually aim at, so how are they all going to to link hands to cast Fairy Sphere before Aldoron picks off the major players?

You just meant punches? Sure, he could have been punching instead. As for keeping thicket going, it's not what he did even when he was serious.

I didn't say DF Natsu would win, just that he would survive a while. FDK's aura should be able to mitigate thicket damage with how intensely it burns compared to Natsu's base flames, DF's speed should let Natsu react to Aldaron, so either form should keep Natsu standing for the second it'd take Mest to teleport in, he's pretty instantaneous. After that it's 4DS Natsu+Team Natsu handling the fight, just like they did with Merc, with a back up option of Fairy Sphere, though I don't think it will be necessary.
As for how they use Fairy Sphere, same way they did with Acno, by using overwhelming numbers to outmaneuver him. Erza could smash him through a few buildings with her rain of swords, Gildarts, Gray and Mirajane should all be able to smack him around a bit like Jellal did Acno, not to mention 4DS Natsu, who imo may simply outright defeat God Seed Aldaron without any assistance, but if not will definitely distract him long enough for Fairy Sphere.

eh yeah nearly every character gets extremely overrated there. gray has been placed above irene and august because of the end fight on there.

reddit seems to be only slightly better than yahoo answers nowadays. And that's hardly a compliment, since yahoo answers is complete garbage lol

Also stopped going to twitter altogether as that place is full of people who are fond of hurling abusive insults at content creators.

As you age, you start to realise some sites are pretty toxic and it's better to avoid the negativity.

Natsu and Lucy easily. Boring one-dimensional characters now (or at least in the main series for arcs), and they still somehow have so many fans. I also think Laxus is overrated as well. Dunno about Gray though but he doesn't get wanked that much.

If Juvia's popular then she's definitely overrated.

Lmao. Lucy is an extremely underrated character. Natsu is sometimes overrated, sometimes underrated. I don't think Laxus is overrated at all. Juvia is a character with so much potential but her "love rival" and "Gray-sama" scenes are pretty annoying.

Mira although at first I didn't think that, Erza, Natsu, the Spriggans definitely, and although I like Laxus he has fallen into this in a certain way, as for a while any character with dragon slayer magic just because it's the magic of the main character but I think it has decreased, but to think that Gray is overrated is ridiculous even laughable when here it's the opposite, he is one of the rare characters that must always win, someone who also happens something a bit similar for me is Jellal, Gray and Jellal could win 8 battles out of 10 and get them belittled for only 2 that don't end in victories, on the other hand Natsu or Erza could lose 8 out of 10 and justify themselves in any way possible even using old feats and very doubtful moments of their victories but this doesn't apply with Gray and Jellal.

No really, the tournament showed how the character's favoritism helps things change, Natsu won when his final opponent was Suzaku who had beaten him quickly and without problems is an example, but for others they must win their revenge first in the manga.

I think I get what you're saying. people don't hate on Natsu if he loses a battle but do when some other characters do.

I think it has to do with feats Erza’s and Natsu’s feat are good enough where we know they‘re pretty high up there power scale wise. Some characters just don’t have any feats or they’re not good enough for some people so if a villai beats them it doesn’t mean anything and I think that’s mostly Hiro‘s fault
