Sengoku isn't that bad. He 6-1 Ryoma but we also knows that is like how much Irie who is a G5 level beat kaji.

It might not look like it but Sengoku could be G10 level already.

I also need to add that Sengoku and Oshitari being possible G10 level as a whole is actually possible.

I know Inui and Momo actually beat 2nd tier 1st stringer. Yet, they are not chosen as part of the replacement despite being in Australia. That means Sengoku and Oshitari is most likely also capable of beating 2nd tier 1st stringer.

And I know it's been a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG time since then, but do remember that 2nd tier 1st stringer ARE NOT weak, especially by PoT original series standards.

3rd court alone have people that is capable of fighting on par with top tier players from the original series like Tachibana/Chitose/Tezuka. And again, the series also stated that each court is a substantial difference in level or something. 2nd court is stomp over, and 1st court entirely skip over but we know those first court lost to 2nd tier stringer completely and they don't stand a chance. That is a court 2 court above 3rd court.

So again, 2nd tier 1st stringer are actually strong, and some player like Inui and Momoshiro is confirm to be on their level, and yet not chosen over Sengoku and Oshitari.

Oshitari prove himself in his match with Atobe.

Sengoku score might look bad, but you also need to consider this is the Ryoma that fight on par with Ryoga BEFORE the devour. This Ryoma is already G5 level, regardless of how some fans might think Ryoma is super weak.
Interesting. Who is the weakest G10 member anyway? Is it Mori, Kimijama, or Tohno?

Sengoku and Oshitari is on the level of the three?🤔. Possible. But I am not 100% sure

Who is the strongest among 11-20? (besides Irie)

Is it Fuwa? The one who was beaten by Yukimura?

I think Sengoku/Oshitari might already surpass him.

I reckon Japan's ranking is quite deceptive. They had to play in a very strong group in the last wc and got eliminated early, then spent a ton of time without Byoudouin, Duke, probably Tanegashima who won't fly, Irie and Oni who chose to train Tokugawa instead of focusing on themselves, etc. They should be top ten, on paper at least. Very top heavy though.

It is indeed Fuwa. According to stats given in the databook most rank are pretty straight forward.

It is to be noted that Kimijama isn't that weak either. He's playing fine against Paris pair which seems to be one of the strongest pair in the tournament and stats wise they are both actually on par with G5.

But Konomi also established big gap in Irie and Kaji, showing off the big gap between Byoudonin/Oni/Duke/Tenegashima/Tokugawa/Irie and the rest of G10.

And then there's Ohmagari being able to shut down Yukimura/Renji somehow even with Kintarou as his active handicapped and many people put Yukimura at G5 level already and Yukimura/Renji team is confirmed to have the "double bonus" from playing well together as well. This is why this is partly confusing. But I can point to one possible "solution". We also know that Sanada 3-6 Tokugawa, which actually isn't too ugly at all considering Kaji lose 1-6 to Irie. Maybe Yukimura is also there. Somewhere above general G10 level but still doesn't reach G5 like Romeo/Ryoma/Tezuka/Kintarou.

Am I the only one impressed with Sanada taking 3 games off Tokugawa?

Well, I am not sure how serious Toku was in the start. But Sanada winning 3 games against Black hole is amazing.

Akutsu is being glazed and trained by Byodouin.

Duke directly said Fuji will surpass them.

If anything, I am shocked Atobe won 0 games against Irie in Intra Match. But I guess Irie is just that strong.

But Tokugawa > Irie. And Sanada took 3 games from Toku. While Atobe took 0 from Irie. Does that mean Sanada > Atobe? Isn't it the opposite is the more common opinion? Hmmm.

Or maybe Toku just relaxing early. But who knows if Irie did too

That may or may not be the case pre-final, but post final, Atobe shown to fight evenly with Romeo now.

Let's look at it this way, people still somehow favor Yukimura over Fuji even when Fuji almost beat Echizen that fight evenly with Ryoga pre-devour.

Konomi in the end isn't that consistent with score. By all logic, Yukimura really doesn't should NOT struggle that much against Ohmagari when Kintarou is useless and he is confirmed by the series themselves that Yanagi/Yukimura is a good pair hence they have some double bonus. Ohmagari pretty much carry hard in that match somehow. But doubles always been its own weird thing and even people like Duke or Fuji is more limtied in doubles.
