The NFL seems to be a rather confusing part of Eyeshield. There have been mentions of Jerry Rice and Joe Montana, who are real life professional players, but the NFL in Eyeshield seems to be comprised of fictional teams like the San Antonio Armadillos, who Apollo played for (and Sena + Taki tried out for).
