Man, that Browns Ravens game was a little painful for me. Because both teams looked so much better than my team does right now, playoff spot clinch or not. At least offensively. Defensively we're still pretty good, despite all the injures and that was not exactly a defensive showcase for either team.

Not sure the Bills really have much to do with it, though your team did play well.

The injuries are starting to just reach that critical level. And they just aren't playing well. You don't beat even half decent teams that way.

Well, when subpar players dance on the logo and then play like that, it doesn't look well.

I don't love our odds against the Colts or Browns right now unless our receivers unbrick they're hands and we get find a way to get the running game going. We'll beat the Bengals. But that might be it for the rest of the season unless they work that out.

And defensively it's getting crazy with injuries back there.

Meh, that doesn't mean anything. He still was one of the few that made plays. So it's not like your team shut him down either. But if you can't run the ball and half your recievers can't catch for some unknown reason you can't win. And the Steelers couldn't get it done. You don't beat anybody that way.

You clearly didn't get the point lmao. And yes, it does mean something.

I don't know why you're making it seem like, "Oh, The Bills are decent but it was mainly the Steelers faults." The Bills dominated that game in the second half.

Maybe not but if your referring to like a disrespect thing because he was dancing on your teams emblem. That whole respect and pride thing is kinda BS. This is the NFL. Everybody already wants to win. The idea of like "Now the game matters!" is sort of silly.

Yes, I'm saying it was the Steelers faults. Like I understand the temptation to view this as some huge victory for the Bills. They had to play the game and they had to win it. Which they did. But we lost to Washington last week for the exact same reasons. Would beating Washington be a huge win for you? There are glaring issues that I'm not sure they have not been able to address. One of the reasons the rally happened was Spillane went out with a knee. That's a devistating blow for the defense. This is no excuse or anything. The Ravens have lost way more key players than the Steelers have after all. It's just what happened. And the offense had the opportunities. They just dropped the balls and once again were completely ineffective running the ball. It was kind of an easy win for your team honestly.

If I was a fan looking at playoff matchups this week I don't think my team is remotely as scary as the two teams beneath us in our division right now. I don't like that. But that's the way I see it.

You can't do that then play terribly. Forget disrespect, it makes you look silly. Especially when you're a below-average wide-out who hasn't had a 100 yard game or more this season.

That and the D-Line was in front of Ben the entire team, shutting down the run game, and picking off the QB twice. The reason why the Steelers looked so bad that game was because their opponent forced that on them. There is a reason why the run game was so ineffective. Dropped passes happened but if you watched the game, you'd know that most of the bad passes were because of the secondary playing great and the D-line pressuring the QB.

I don't understand this word temptation, it is a huge victory for them whether you want to accept it or not.

If the Browns and Ravens played the Steelers right now, it won't go well. They had a couple of high moments this season but most of this success is because of an easy schedule.

Passing this game off as a Steelers problem instead of a Buffalo success is just denial.

We'll see, man. I don't know.

I would certainly prefer to say that the Bills are great and the edged out a great Steeler team. But that's not the game I watched. I watched the same game this week that I watched last week. Where Washington was just straight up a better team because of thier glaring flaws. Now the same was true of the Bills. Any NFL win is an accomplishment. But your team didn't beat the Steeler team of 6 weeks ago. They are not that team right now.

The Steelers team of 6 weeks ago was average, edging out bad teams like the Cowboys and having "solid" victories over Jacksonville.

Either way, it does not matter until playoff time but I do want more Buffalo recognition. Nick Wright is the most infuriating sports analyst right now.

The most "average" the Steelers have been this year have been the past 2-3 weeks, that's undeniable. They barely beat a Ravens team who lost half their roster to COVID. The same thing you're saying about them can be said about Buffalo - a solid team that lucked into a rebuilding year for New England, playing the Jets twice, beating up on bad teams and edging out some close wins against decent competition. Except for Tennessee who absolutely rolled and smoked them, and this past week with a Steelers team on the decline. Their most impressive win is still over the Seahawks. I mean, they could win out and go 13-3, but they'd still lack a road victory against a team with a winning record. Don't look now but the Dolphins can still win that division.

No, you don't want that. Recognition means nothing, take it from a Ravens fan. Teams don't get trophies for being respected or feared. You want people to sleep on you, underestimate you.

Sure, but that's not the point. We were discussing the Steelers and my point still stands. Most of their wins come against teams with above .500 records and I'll take that, considering what the expectations for us were and if it weren't for a very lucky hail mary, a 7 game winning streak would've happened. Yes, the Dolphins have a 1% chance of winning but the Bills can clinch the AFC East with a win this Sunday against the Broncos and I like those chances.

The offense has been dominant this season but unfortunately, the winning scores don't reflect that because of the difficulties the defense was facing at the beginning.

Not when you're 0-4 in Superbowls. Yes, I do want that.

What's the point though? That beating the Steelers now is somehow as impressive as it would have been 6 weeks ago, when they were still undefeated and not on a losing streak? Beating the team with the best record in the league is something any team will take, but acting like the Steelers aren't on a bad slide right now is a bit silly. Also, the Steelers haven't run the ball successfully since the beginning of the season, only the Texans have a worse rushing offense. And you can't say that's because they're forced to throw the ball in every game because they're losers like the Texans and always playing from behind, this team was undefeated until this month. They're abandoning the run against everyone.

Not when you're 0-4 in Superbowls. Yes, I do want that.
That was 30 years ago, it has no real bearing on people's perception of the Bills now. Hell, playing in the same division as Tom Brady or not winning the division or a playoff game since 1995 tends to get people to overlook a team, not their record in the Super Bowl.

The Ravens are 2-0 in the Super Bowl and they're still almost always overlooked. Being the underdog is an asset, not a negative IMO. Let people talk about the Cowboys or Giants 24/7, they're lucky to have a winning record in any given season.

They were on a 1 game losing streak, not 5 so why are you making it seem like they were going through hell and back?

That trying to pass off this game as a product of a Steelers' fault instead of a Bills success is silly. Yes, go back 5 weeks and I'm confident the Bills are beating the Steelers too. Exposing one of the best pass defenses the way they did is impressive. It's whether you want to accept it or not. 6 weeks ago the Bills were dropping 44 on the Seahawks and playing a close game against the Chiefs back when they were still in dominant mode.

The biggest knock against the Bills is that they can't beat decent teams when they've been doing that all season.

It's funny to me how your conflating your insecurity about the respect the bills receive with my, I think fairly neutral assessment, of my team. Understand this. I don't care about the Bills a fraction of a percent. I'm sure the same is true of xi0. In fact saying they were an amazing power team would actually be great for me as a sports fan.

Problem is, I know my team well enough to know what's going on with them. There are reasons for why they played the way that they did. None of which matters. The reality is they have had 3 consecutive terrible games all of which have taken place over the course of 12 days. Your team benifited from the last of those. Congratulations, I guess.

Respect doesn't mean anything. In fact as xi0 was saying it's better to be the underdog if possible. The team nobody believes in. Because that keeps players sharp. But at the end of the day your team needs to keep winning. That's what matters. Everything else doesn't.

I never conflated anything. I just put down my 2 cents. This is what this thread is for. You're just desperately trying to undermine the win which in the end I don't really care about because anyone who watched that game knows what really happened.

Lamar is a young goat but they gotta fire this nigga greg roman, everywhere this man has gone all his passing schemes fade after one year. Lamar gotta get better downfield but they need to grab a 50/50 receiver that separate, hollywood will probably even better with someone like that cause they clamp him easily or he drops shit. Hoping for either Jim Harbaugh, Anthony Lynn, or Doug Pederson if they fire him but I doubt they will

Josh Allen was the most inaccurate QB downfield for 2 years straight until they got stephon diggs, that's all I ask for. Greg Roman gonna kill this man relying too much on him for the run game and not feeding JK and Gus, get him tf outta here

Ravens vs. Packers SB is my prediction but it'll probably be Chiefs vs Packers

Stefon Diggs is just the #1, Cole Beasly is used heavily too.

With your prediction, explain to me how Baltimore is making it that far?

I didn't say it wasn't impressive, a win is a win. I said the Steelers are playing their worst football right now, stuffing the run against them isn't the feat you think it is because they don't run on anyone. Their receivers have some sort of historic level of drops in the past two weeks as well. Those are unforced errors.

I'm assuming you don't watch a lot of sports analytics because if you did, you wouldn't say that.
I don't get iti. I wouldn't say what? I don't really know what analytics has to do with their super bowl losing streak in the early 90s or not getting recognition.

I could live with Hollywood being small and soft because he got downfield last year, even with a bum foot. Now he's supposedly healthier but the guy can't even do that on a regular basis, no separation at all. Lost his hands too. Sure we drafted him in the first round, but he's just not a number 1 receiver and never will be. I wish they had taken Metcalf at this point.
