I wouldn't hold it against Harbough. He's still an employee of the team, and probably had little say in the matter. Either tow the party line or suffer the consequences.

That's exactly what went on.

I mean, local reports/hosts aren't a stranger to Harbaugh being a dick and someone that's difficult to deal with. It makes him look less culpable in this, but him lying like a dope doesn't make him look good either.

Steve Bisciotti may have tried to bribe Ray Rice via text message in order for him to go along with the story that he never told them the full truth. Man, that is epic.

It really makes me think that Ray Rice told them all exactly what happened in the elevator and they tried to reframe it as him lying to them when it blew up in their faces. And if he told them the truth you would have to think he told Goodell the full truth too.

The sheer arrogance of sending a text message implying that essentially if he plays ball there is a position waiting for him with the Ravens when things cool down. That is astonishing to me. And making Harbaugh do all the press conferences when he was the only one who had sense enough to request permission to cut Ray Rice multiple times since the first video surfaced.

It's beyond belief.

Yeah, I don't know what to make of it. The Ravens are denying that Harbaugh wanted to cut Rice back in February...

When I clicked on that link I was 100% sure it was going to be some new story about how some Steeler player drowned kittens as a hobby or burned down orphanages or something. NFL news lately has just conditioned me to expect that.

Ravens got in because the Chargers lost. I gotta say that this might be the most underwhelming playoff team in our history. We beat the Steelers in Week 2 and that's the ONLY WIN we have against a team with a winning record...

A ton of injuries factor into it, so we're kind of lucky to get in in the first place. But I'm not particularly excited at our chances.

You never know, Gary. You could easily beat the Bengals. While I don't think that you're good enough to beat the Patriots (the team you would face if you beat the Bengals), you have recent history against us and an off day for us and Flacco plays well and you could find yourself in an AFCCG.

Yeah, with the Steelers winning the game, we get Ravens vs Steelers, which is a more tasty matchup than Ravens vs Bengals, no offense to the Bengals.

This iteration of the Bengals are like what the Falcons were a few years prior. Incredibly hyped, good regular season performances, complete letdown in the playoffs. I don't expect that trend to end any time soon.

Lets face it you can throw deep on both our teams.

Ravens may be 24th ranked against the pass this year but my Steelers are 27th. Two secondary's that just aren't very good. Even if Polamalu and Taylor manage to come back I doubt that changes for the Steelers. And the Raven's have what four CBs on IR? Fortunately, in the AFC neither Brady or Manning can throw deep anymore. In a funny way I feel like the Baltimore game is going to be one of the hardest if Flacco plays well.

Well, yeah, basically.

The Bengals had a few good games (that win over Denver), but also got shredded by the Patriots, so they're not a top team. I think that the Bengals should beat the Colts, though. Truthfully, I think that the Colts have been overrated all year long, and while they did suffer a few injuries down the stretch, what you saw at the end of the season are the real Colts. During their losses, you generally saw that they're a good team (I've described them as flat track bullies in the past), but not good enough.
