HEADCANON. why you ask? the fact that it was clearly in the panel "He's used up all of his magical and physical strength he'll be eroded by the commandments and disappear" also you forgot the fact that there's the word "discordant", which clearly makes my argument stronger in this whole debate. If you can prove to me that mael NEVER got weakened using factual evidence then i would like to see it. At this point you're arguing against facts and you're making assumptions and giving arbitrary interpretation on what they meant, when there's no arguing what it means.
What was clearly in the panel is King pointed out that physical and magic ability was eroded
after he and King had their fight. It was only then that it was apparent to King that the Commandments were taking a toll on his body. There was nothing in that panel that suggested that it was because of the Commandments that he lost physical and magical strength and there is nothing before that panel implying as such. As I said, the way things were presented, Mael's own strength was the reason he was able to handle all 4 Commandments up to that point, and when he was weakened by King, he lost control. The word "Discordant" doesn't make you argument stronger, that's not how this works. What we had been shown before that point was that the Commandments were making Mael stronger and stronger, despite his body rejecting them and destroying his sanity. You and I are both using assumptions at this point because the series doesn't make it clear whether or not Mael was losing strength thanks to the Commandment. What was confirmed, however, was the Mael's own strength is what allowed him to reign in the Commandments, Mael's strength with 4 Commandments was 200k+, and the Commandments began to take control of his body
after King fought him.
Again with another assumption. If him using all his magical attacks such as using all abilities of the absorbed commandments and his light of salvation he would've been weaker earlier since he has used it as much as he did when he became one with 4 commandments. The fact king even implied that the commandments are disagreeing with mael and trying to eat his very being and that's when commandments started to rebel which showcase mael's limitation at that point. NOTHING points out that king did all of this with his power where he was at his limit.
Aren't you supposed to be arguing against this?
Alright so let me debunk this whole idea that you're making headcanons without evidence.
"Mel would've been capable of using FC on their training sticks during the Druid arc". Again this is meliodas who DOES NOT TRY IN THIS SPARRING match. let me give you the evidence of it, King used disaster which is a magical thing where he increases the usage of his magic but yet when he hit meliodas with it, meliodas didn't even use revenge counter. Meliodas in sparring DOES NOT use FC in his character, if king was an enemy it would be different, so why would meliodas try and counter that while they're just sparring??
This panel simplifies that him going to release his sacred treasure which is chastiefol the fact gloxinnia proves the idea that his magic is increasing and his attacks IS CLEARLY BASED ON MAGICAL attacks not physical. Which guidebook clearly proves the fact he has no physical strength but rather magical strength where he can use many forms of chastiefol.
Neither were trying, but Mel still used Full Counter when King used Status Promotion on him. Before that point, Mel wasn't able to use Full Counter because he was fighting against a stick. Mel can't Full Counter physical objects, only magical attacks. Mel obviously had no issue with using it when the opportunity presented itself. King was using his magic to control the stick, but the stick wasn't magical in nature. You are arguing that King's using magic on something gives it magical qualities, which clearly isn't the case. Also, why would Mel use Revenge Counter here? The stipulation for the technique weren't even close to being met since neither was actually trying to kill the other.
both of their comments that he used disaster to draw out true power of the holy tree WHICH in fairy realm IT IS a magical thing not physical object. nothing supports your evidence that all of his chastiefol forms are different where there can be physical attacks, which would contradict the idea of holy tree and its mechanic. The comment from Guila even proves my point that chastiefol is a sacred tree found in fairy realm and the fact that gloxinnia and Guila's comment literally connects to one another as the chastiefol being a magical weapon and disaster capable of drawing out its potential making different for is clearly the factual evidence. Unless you have more proof to back it up then i would likely to see it.
We've never seen the tree, so how do you know it's not physical? Disaster draws out the different qualities of the tree, some of which are magical, some physical, some both. Their comments don't prove your points as all it states is that King can draw out different abilities using his own magic, not that they are not physical.
So since you brought up "guardian did a physical damage" what does that even mean? what english is that, what logic is this??? The fact every magical attack being hit towards the opponent as long as the weapon is embedded by magic clearly viewpoints this idea.
This panel is the prime EXAMPLE of physical attack, escanor's attakc at hand was stated having no trace of magic on it which means that if YOU EMBED your weapon with magic it would be considered a magical attack.
Another proof of this is when he used fifth form of chastiefol it's a physical object but yet chandler countered it, hence like i said before being embedded with magic would make that object a magical attack, this is no matter of assumption, theory. This is mere facts regarding the lore of fairy kings in the past and kings power in its own concept on what it is, which i showed many times that holy tree is magic itself to fairies.
The phase was pretty clear "Guardian does physical damage". Every time King uses Guardian, he uses it to inflict physical damage to someone in lieu of his own physical attacks seeing as how, as we all already know, he lacks any sort of personal physical strength. As far as we've seen, Chastiefol is as physical as King wants it. He can either use it with Disaster to enhance or transform his attacsk, or just have it attack using his telekinesis, as we saw mainly at the start of the series before more forms were revealed. Which is why I said that his attacks seem to be both physical and magical.
The Sacred Tree isn't magic itself to fairies, at least, not in the way you are thinking of. A fairy's magic is their own and if they are the Fairy King, they can use aspects of the Sacred Tree through the Spirit Spear using their magic. The Tree's physical traits, i.e. strong moss, poisonous vines and insects, healing or offensive flowers, etc., have unique qualities, some of which are clearly magical in nature, but nothing has stated that the Tree is completely magical. I highly doubt it is. But we know barely anything about the Tree itself, so that's a moot point anyway.
Point is, I don't see King being beaten by Zeldris. At best, he can break through one, but not the other, at worst, he can't break through neither, but either way, he wouldn't be pulled in by Ominous Nebula's effect, leaving the both of them at a stalemate.
