No, i think it was stated that Diane had the potential to be an incredibly powerful giant and Matrona said she would make her the strongest giant warrior. Which implies she wanted to make her stronger than Dolor, but, whether or not she can be that strong in such a short period of time is not known!
Two things that occupy my mind currently: Fraudrin's magic is called Full Size. I have no idea what that entails but he threatened Death Pierce that if he were to shed his skin and reveal his true nature then they wouldn't be so full of themselves. So it might have something to do with that.
Second, and much more plot relevant - Estarossa has the ability to convert people into demons. Should he really die at Escanor's hand and be returned to Purgatory then there is a certain chance that the demon king takes advantage of that situation and has him transform Meliodas back into a demon.
Meliodas is still a demon, the eyes and symbol are the things i'm using to back that up... but, with him gone the demons would not be able to convert anymore people... unless, Estarossa's death led to the demon king turning Meliodas and taking over Estarossa's body instead???
Dude what? Meliodas was able to overpower both Dolor and Gloxinia - just how much does his strength increase when he uses his demonic mark?
Zeldris is apparently the strongest, eh? Estarossa is the strongest physically, but it's to be expected that his magic stat would be lower, since Full Counter seems to have it like that.
Since we can assume that even demon powers deteriorate when they become really old, prime Galan must have been a sight to see on the battle field. I mean, power levels and abilities aside, I am still to this day mesmerized by his movements in mid combat. That flow, that flexibility with the spear. It's a fucking art form.

I dont really see how dancing will boost he physical strength to +36500 that bs
Dolor trained his ass hard to be that strong
Unless the dance is some dirty dancing i dont see her powering up to that point

Estarossa's death flags keep getting higher and higher lol. Not only has his commandment put Ban and others out of commission, but now we know that he can create demons, which means that if the only way for the demon clan to finally be destroyed is to get rid of him. He has to die at some point...
She didn't say stronger than Dolor, she said that she shows promise to exceed giant warrior over the last few generations and that she would make her into the greatest giant warrior to ever exist. SO, she was imply that with Matrona's guidance and contsant teaching that she could in fact surpass a lot of people, her included, but, whether or not she would class Dolor as giant warrior or god of the giant's clan i'm not sure. http://www.mangasail.com/content/nanatsu-no-taizai-1261?page=24

Basically, by this point Estarossa's death is guaranteed and after what Escanor just did i would not be surprised if he survived, went back for revenge and then realized how outmatched he was and just let Escanor kill him.
I'm also thinking we may have seen Gray Lord's commandment affect Ban back at Vaizel, when he exploded that is... unless that is Estarossa's magic like with what he did to the bird.
Lol, i dare Estarossa to turn Escanor into a demon and power him up more XD
Do we have any information about Meliodas' demon mark/past version power level?
And it's basically confirmed that Estarossa didn't stop that Revenge Counter with brute force, even though we kind of knew. It was probably his "Love."

Because it's no simple dance. I mean, it tunes you in with the flow of nature itself. It's like you go break dancing and by somehow pulling off the right movements with the right timing you are suddenly one with the entire fucking planet. That is rad beyond hell.
I am exaggerating a bit but this is basically what Dolor's Dance is supposed to do. The giants treat it as sacred but that has more to do with the cultural heritage. None of the giants of today have unlocked the same enlightened state of mind as Dolor did when he invented it. And Diane already came really fucking close.
Then there is the thing that Dolor looks fundamentally different from all other giants physically. His skin colour, his arms, his sheer size which makes the likes of Diane and Matrona look like mere dolls. Who know if tuning in with the earth actually physically changes you as well.
I understand that it seems far-fetched for now that a little dancing makes you this powerful but the entire culture of the giants is an amalgamation of spiritual influences you find all over the world, there is something akin to Hinduism or Buddhism in there, ancient martial arts and feeling the flow of nature and life force itself. Diane may very well unlock those secrets and actually draw power and life force from the very planet she walks on.

I get the feeling Escanor's magic is like a mixture of all types of magic, mainly the goddess clan's light and the demon clan's fire... because it is more light magic than anything else, yet it has been compared to the purgatory flame, so maybe it is like a combo of everything and that's what makes it so unique???
Yeah, haha. I'm pretty certain he'd have gotten wrecked by that Revenge Counter had Meliodas not triggered the decree.
Seems like Meliodas is still the strongest out of the eleven (counting the current ten commandments), or about equal to Zeldris.
Also, can I just say that this plot point of Diana not having her memories is the absolute WORST plot in this whole manga. Like seriously, there's no reason why someone has beat Gowther into giving her her memories back yet.

I'm honestly expecting the ability GOD to mean that Zeldris is next is line to be the demon king and that is what will make his mark different. You know how Meliodas's demon mark was different in Estarossa's flashback and he said every saw you as the next DK... i feel like maybe Zeldris has now taken that role and could use that ability now.

Then dolor + the dance would make his defeat impossible by diane
Dolor never showed the dance and we know he is a hard worker like goku
It like saying that goten(who never trained his whole life) by unlocking ssg will defeat ssg goku(who trained his whole life)
Even her perfecting the dance wouldnt do much against dolor

Gowther would likely not care if you beat him up to get what you wanted, he is a doll and could give less than a coin toss about pain... i mean, he's been decapitated. So, the only thing i can think of would be a trade... someone else take the place of Diane for Gowther's experiment.

It would likely make her odds better especially if she could remain in tune with the earth and might even allow her to heavy Diamond up. But, the idea that she will surpass Dolor after the dance is very low, unless of course there is an additional power up she can have, like Gideon's ability which amplifies her magic/strength to twice the amount of she deems you guilty of hurting her friends or something.
Because Matrona could help her, get hurt and Diane could go and protect her!

But this was way back in Liones...Gowther is supposed to be a good guy. He even understood that he had to let Guila go. Why he hasn't done the same (or why someone hasn't told him to) for Diane doesn't make any sense.
