The Impel Down which were Awakened DF users that lost their minds to their animal spirits didn’t change Zoan color compared to Zoan animals. The fact that this God of Destruction Nika is drawn as black indicates to me that this is not Luffy’s DF but a Black Nika DF which has a perfect candidate in Blackbeard’s Yami Yami no Mi "Logia" which is the single Logia DF that can’t make his owner turn into his Logia matter. Darkness being used as a destructive force also seems like a God of Destruction power. Yami and Gomu DFs being similar in designs is also a bing hint.

Maybe right now he is in contradiction with Nika - since somehow he still think he is a rubber man ! And G5 is much more - the only power to trully make the KoW feel true horror - the most ridiculous thing that even the devil cant fathom - i think we')) have 2 more forms - G5 perfect, like SSJ Perfect in cell saga (Luffy al white all the time) and the SSJ2! Version of g5 !

Guys, we know that the risk of Awakening a Zoan is losing yourself to the fruit.
But at the same time, let's not be dramatic here. We know when given the choice between cool and silly, Oda will pick silly, unless it's time for Luffy to realize he needs to get stronger so that he can keep being silly.

I agree with korwinkrulpolski. Luffy and Nika are already alligned. Luffy has already lost himself to the fruit's rhythm, because that fruit's rhythm just exaggerates Luffy's nature. Everyone who complains about Luffy's nature during G5; what do you think that is? That's not Luffy by himself. That's the influence of the fruit.
The Zoan Fruits have a will of their own, and by the way everything looks, Nika already chose Luffy long ago, and one of the reasons is that inherenet compatibility.

Worstgen's thoughts, to me, just sound like when people were chasing the hype and imagining G5 forms that were stylistically cooler/edgier than the G5 that we got, that is grounded in laughter and fun. Even now, people are hoping for something more "badass" (I dont neccessarily think that's wrong. People that like stylistically cool things should get thrown a bone too sometimes.) My point, however, is that we cannot be ignorant of the bias that wanting something "cool" or "serious" will do to someone's predictions.

All that said, I do think we could get another Gear by series end. But with G5 letting Luffy take on so many forms, does it really matter? The closest thing to a serious G5 we could potentially get is Luffy reapplying G4's extreme Haki usage to G5, to merge the two powersets in their totallity.

Make sense BUT - i'm totally against this idea - bc this "dark nika" is actually just a dream monster - a thing that the children thought about - even so we have black nika against Elbaf - but that is for sure the Nika fruit of Luffy !

Yes..there was a time in the past.. in an even remote past way before JoyBoy .. ZOANS,, existed by their own, roaming around the world ,, before for some UNKNOW reason they got trapped on Fruits ,, Ratatoskr came from that time,, in fact he never got trapped inside a Fruit,, he decide by his own to fuse to the Hammer..

what darkness Nika is representing the Sun wich means Light not darkness in the other hand Imu and his black fire is more related to the Darkness than Nika...maybe there is also a hybrid form for Nika too and something above the G5 and Luffy just find how watching Loki

Raws are out, I saw them on Reddit. And wow, Sommers face is even better than I imagined. It seems like the Knights are about to be handled, even though Imu buffed them with omen. Also it's nice to see that Dorry and Broggy but also other Giant Pirats are taking care of Zaza. At least Sanji dosen't have to carry everything alone. And hmm, Luffy is still in G5 but something's deffinetly off. Mayby his fruit is about to fully awaken? Oh, and this is torture. We were waiting for Lokis hybrid ever since he started fight with Imu but we still get to see only silhouette, after all this time. Ugh, it better be worth all this wait. You know, like after all this time it should be one of coolest things in One Piece.

The fact that there are 2 Nika Sun Gods in Elbaf mythology - one being a Warrior God of Liberation and one being a Warrior God of Destruction - indicates to me that there is room for 2 different DFs. The DFs were said to be relics of previous users’ dreams that were achieved through technology and lineage factor manipulations. I think we should expect someone to have dreamt Warrior of Liberation power and someone else to have dreamt Warrior of Destruction power during Void Century hence 2 Nika zoans. We at least know thar Warrior of Liberation is the official Nika category assigned to Luffy’s DF.

Easy to answer

• Sun God Nika - Warrior of Liberation liberates the sun light - it goes out (shine)
• Sun God Nika - Warrior of Destruction destroys the sun light - it goes in (black hole)

By the way Luffy has not done anything so far that is associated with the Sun Liberation. This will come later when we learn more about Nika Warrior of Liberation and Nika Warrior of Destruction - my guess is after Laugh Tale.

One of the weird things was Killingham being back to his white clouds and not the black ones.

For Luffy's heart, didn't Luffy need to restart the beat during the Kaido fight? Might be misremembering

Edit: Sommers' boasting is really weird too, current translation wise. He talks about being unable to see the thorns. Okay, sure. But they have hardness of iron? Zoro can cut steel and dragon scale. It really just feels like Sommers doesnt have a sense of how overpowered people can get and it makes it seem like he doesn't have a history of being walloped.
