Very true. Even with Brook's situation, you can argue Kuma just didn't know enough about Brook but maybe he knew the people at that island would be welcoming to him at least. With Luffy, it's like a flat out gamble on his charisma (and apparently Dragon's, based on what he said at the end of Thriller Bark). The only other reason I can think of is that he might have been aware of Rayleigh being connected to Shakky and their connection to the Kuja.

Maybe he visited Amazon Lily with Dragon. Dragon fell in love there with the empress (or the other way around) and she got pregnant, but she couldn't decide to leave the island. And after Luffy's birth Dragon came for him and send him to Foosha Village, because he couldn't raise him as a revolutionary and his mother couldn't raise him because Amazon Lily is inhabited only by women so Luffy wouldn't be welcome there.
And that's why Kuma decided to sent Luffy to Amazon Lily, because he wanted him to know his birthplace and his mother homeland. That would also explain her dying of love sickness - empress didn't go after Dragon afterwards.

Nothing except that he's visited the island before. Likely in an attempt to try and find a cure for Bonney, same as most of the other locations we saw him visit.
Lots of good stuff in this SBS. I wish all of them were more like this. Hanafuba is interesting. I'm surprised at the amount of detail Oda put into that drawing. Makes me think he's been sitting this particular character concept for a while now and may have plans to introduce him later down the line. He also seems very Kaido adjacent.

Oda could have shown him and given details about him in Chapter 1100, but that would have prob steered too much away from the main focus and would have given less space to other things he wanted to show.
I imagine he could be brought up when Kaido's history of acquiring fruits is explained, assuming Hanafuda is connected to Kaido.

Could be because they're trained in Haki and Luffy would do things to be accepted by them, but maybe that's assuming too much from Kuma. lol

Interesting. I've also seen it suggested that Gloriosa fell in love with Kaido, but speculating on Dragon is interesting as well.

Oda did say he has so many idea, its just if he put it in story the story will keep streaching,,
Oda really good make a plan or even make it on the spot (eleven supernova for big example/or some thing like senorponk BS), he also already in mind about Zoro family or Kidd backstory, but for him iys not worth to put in main story manga.

When I saw Jack and his Mammoth form made me think of Jurassic Park when we first saw the Brachiosaurus.
Seeing Pica reminders me of those new Godzilla Kong movies. And then there's of course that ending lol.

Jack was massive in his beast form, makes even Queen & King seem normal size. I was hoping they'd show Kaido in his beast form and hybrid form too since he's already a big guy.
Pica is another level. Honestly makes Zoro cutting him in half even more insane.

Hmm, isn't WG intelligence spot on most of the time? Plot obviously has a role here but they seem to pick up on stuff in most cases pretty quickly. I wonder if the war Isho was involved in has something to do with the shichibukai...

In this instance, someone pointed out that the movie character he's based off of killed 100 men who kidnapped his girlfriend in the film, so I think that's going to be the great incident. Given that Issho is based on Zatoichi and shares a lot of his traits, I imagine the same is going to be the same for Aramaki. We know that Oda respects the actors he based on the Admirals on, so I doubt he'd make one of them...you know super terrible in that way.

Not really? Robin's whole existence shows that it kinda sucks (and Law's for that matter). They simultaneously murder every baby they find that may have been Roger's, yet pass over the suspiciously pregnant woman whom they presumably also don't know was a D. Speaking of "D", it's not just bad intel, it's straight up ineptness. Luffy went around screaming his full name, his devil fruit power, and his goal arc after arc and was treated with kid gloves by the WG until the very last second before G5. Issho's backstory here sorta reinforces all of this.
In all likelihood, my best guess is that the people who were in charge of recruiting Issho knew about his past, but knew the Marines were desperate for manpower with the absence of two admiral positions.
