We had a really stressful discussion about logia fruits in general a couple of pages back. It would be a pain if it started again.

actually.... maybe luffi was covered in haki when he dashed into smoker.... coz so far it seems haki can pwn logia.

about his scar... well it could be there before he ate that devil fruit...

I dunno if he mention it or not but I think yes, it's the most powerful of the 3. Even in its normal state, Logia fruits Consumer is nearly invincible as they do not receive any damage from any physical attack...

k u cant say no to everything cause u dont even know, no one knows. and oda probably drew his scar there cause it makes him look tough thats all. and it makes 100 percent sense that it could have happened before he ate the fruit.

About the scar, as Razh said it can't have happend before Smoker ate the DF because we saw him around chapter 100 and it was NOT there. Arguing out of the manga we would have to assume Oda made a mistake, but there are clearly other possibilities like strong enemies or someone getting hold of his jitte during a fight and hurting him!

About the other incident, well that was discussed to death here and in the tree of knowledge. While the theory of haki is nice, there is no proof for it whatsoever. Luffy wanted food. propelled himself forward and hit them while they were not aware of the 'danger' in their backs, which is what some assume is the reason why their intangability failed.

It isn't impossible that Smoker's DF has some sort of natural weakness and that one of his enemies figured it out.

I don't really know what that natural weakness would be nor do I know how he figured it out.

There are simply too many possibilities to tell. It most likely is battle related, but it also might jsut be an incident involving him, tashigi, her clumsiness and that sword of hers. And since it happend offscreen and we will probably never see a flashback about it it's totally up to what Oda tells us about it or not.

As for a natural weakness to smoke, the only things I could come up with are wind and rain. That's nothing though that would cause a scar that's why there should be something involved nulifying DF powers. He's logia after all.

The simple thing that'd point to the scar would be that material (Can't remember it's actuall name) that nullafies DF's and I'm not sure if my facts are straight here but does water take away there powers aswell (I know they can't swim in it but yer) could have something to do with those not that the whole matter of a scar is all that significant anyways tbh :P

water doesn't take away nor nullify their powers (exept for crocodile) it just makes them loose control of their bodies. their DF abilities can still be used, but with outside influence ( meaning not the df user, but somebody else or something, like somebody pulling on luffy's head to streatch ithttp://onemanga.com/one_piece/86/05/ ) if logia users become tangable (or whatever the word is) when in water is still unknown tho

NO it is pretty well known since Wiper fight against Enel. Since the seastone as the same property as the water we can say that Logia lose their power in water which is not the case for paramecia

I highly doubt that. It was something more unnatural than a Sea King. A Demon probably. Guess that only Oda will tell us.

But it really is a mystery what those things were, there were 3 of them right?

Well Paramecia lose the control over their bodies, the same is applied to Logia and Zoans. Water and SeaStone's their natural enemy weakness, in case of logia's I'd say it's extreme because they loose their powers entirely.
