Well I certainly wasn't intending to spark so much debate over Kizaru and Aokiji I just wanted ppl to list there top 3-5 characters in terms of strength and epicness

Well from what we've seen so far, I'd say:

1) Kizaru
Easily took out 4 Supernovae. I'd say this is a more impressive feat then Aokiji's defeat of the Monster Trio. Light fruit seems imba, no weakness except seastone. Physical capabilities strong as well; kicks at the speed of light.

2) Aokiji
Single handedly dispatched all three of the Monster Trio, Logias are all pretty much overpowered. Also, easily froze Jaguar D Saul despite the latter being a 'D', a vice admiral and powerful in his own right (he destroyed 6 buster call ships by himself). Hes probably not weaker then Kizaru, but from what we've seen so far, I'd say Kizaru seems more impressive.

3) Luffy
Gear 2 + Gear 3. Willpower means everything in this manga, and Luffy seems to have the strongest willpower of all the characters shown yet.

4) Enel
Imba fruit. He'd probably defeat every non logia character seen up till now.

5) Kuma
I was debating whether to put Lucci as 5 or Kuma. In the end I chose Kuma, even though we havn't seen his full capabilities. His paw paw fruit sure is powerful, the ability to reflect anything makes his defence very strong. Also hes a cyborg, meaning it has a higher resistance to attacks then a normal body. Also seems he has the ability to shoot lasers out of his mouth and teleport, so in all I think Kuma should be able to beat Lucci in a 1v1 fight.



I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people stronger then these characters, Rayleigh, WhiteBeard, Shanks, Sengoku, Kaidou, Mihawk..and probably many who haven't even been introduced yet.

Eh??!! Why do you put Luffy above Enel and Kuma! This is a thread about who's the strongest. Luffy has a fruit made to take out Enel yet he still had a ton of trouble against him and almost lost. This is not a Luffy vs Enel thing but a strength contest. I'd be willing to bet that if you put Enel up against either of the two admirals they would have more trouble with him then Luffy!

And Kuma do I really have to explain it? A PX4 gave the entire crew working together a lot of trouble and they said it themselves they had to go all out to take it out. Now then have a PX4 who's got a Paw Paw Fruit and you get Kuma. Let see how this fight ends up shall we?

Luffy didn't try his hardest.

If he was fighting for his nakama..against Kuma. Then we shall see.

Matchups like Croc versus Luffy, Lucci versus Luffy etc looked awfully imbalanced..but Luffy always surprises.

Enel relies on his fruit. Without his fruit hes nothing. Luffy beat him, pretty sure most of the Supernovae can take his lightening attacks as well, though he'll probably still win.

Like I said, willpower is everything in this manga. And who possesses the most willpower?

When Luffy becomes stronger then the entire crew combined then I'll give you a win for Luffy vs Kuma until then the answer is Kuma in any battle. This is an arguement about strength not willpower. And even then Willpower can't overcome that sort of gap, it's like saying Luffy could beat Kizaru with willpower(lulz)

Enel doesn't depend purely on his Fruit, Mantra anyone? Not only that but Luffy would have been destroyed if he hadn't had his rubber powers. Zoro was out in one hit and he's got a lot of will power and Enel defintely wasn't trying very hard that should give you an idea of how strong Enel is(doesn't hurt that Enel's bounty hypotheticlly is 500 million nearly twice Luffy's). Enel has found more uses for his DF then anyone else and even then he also knows how to use a trident. If Enel had fought anyone but Luffy he would've won and you know it. The fact that Enel was nearly equal to Luffy despite the fact that Luffy had an enormous advantage over him shows his strength. It's like arguing that Robin is stronger then Sanji because in a Sanji vs Robin battle, Robin will always win.

Also BB should be on that list.

Don't think he could beat Kizaru or Aokiji..or Kuma for that matter.

that would be a very interesting fight; Enel vs Kizaru...
Enel could defeat the majority of the characters in the OP World with relative ease, but the not the yonkous or higher tiers of shichibukai or admirals...

Anyone who thinks that I meant an Admiral knows that they're trying to find something wrong with my arguement. And are using things that they know I wouldn't do. What I meant was that if Enel had fought anyone else in Skypeia he would've won(fact) heck anyone that Luffy beat would be beaten faster by Enel. In strength and power Enel>Luffy in a battle between Enel and Luffy then Luffy> Enel.

Kizaru looks a real monster from what we've seen and based on this fact alone...he seems stronger that Aokiji ( based on what we've seen power wise), but I think when Aokiji met the SHs he wasn't taking the battle seriously or was using a very low percentage of his power and so i think there's more to him that we haven't seen yet ( hopefully).

I think this Logia being over-powered statements will conclude REALLY soon... I think this was a really incredible ploy be Oda. Introduce characters like Aokiji, Kizaru, Ace, BB, Enel, Smoker, Dragon ( I reckon he has the storm storm logia fruit ahah)....... And at the same time hasn't disclosed how Gol.D, Ray (I seriously doubt he's a DF user), Shanks, Mihawk, WB are all so powerful (and probably considered more deadly) without having a Logia DF power. The point is I think we've all fallen for Oda's trap, We all think Logia's are the most epic thing since sliced bread (even though we've witnessed stronger non-DF users) and really soon (probably with Kizaru vs Ray) Oda going to be like this is why Logia's aren't so tough - "recipe to defeat all logia DF types "

What would really surprise me is if WB had some kinda AoE attack that hit everyone in a 9x4 area and it just absolutely pwned...

Depends Andonan on what sort of basis we have for the strongest. Do we only count people the Strawhats have met? People who have fought at full power? People who have fought the Strawhats? etc.

I don't find Ao Kiji has really got willpower ...
Without his DF, he's not so a great fighter.

Do you remember that when Luffy fighted with Ao Kiji, Luffy kicked him away in the air and destroyed easily with a gomu gomu storm ? He was put in pieces of ice.

But, after, quicky, he froze Luffy when he became serious. So, he is fast but less than light.

Do you thing, Luffy could have done it with Kizaru at this island with the power he had at this time ?
Even if Ao Kiji was not serious when he was beginning fighting, I'm not sure it'd be possible with Kizaru.

But, they should be good fighter.

Ok, I went and looked at Aokiji's battle a while back. I also saw what he did for Nico Robin a LOOOOoong time ago in Ohara.

It was said a while that Aokiji was the strongest Marine. I can't go with anything else but that. If Oda says he's the strongest, then he's the strongest.

Kizaru on the other hand is fast and literally, light of feet. His attacks pierce through skin and much else and he also has a LOT of leeway when it comes to taking damage.

Both are huge Logia users who seem to god mode for the Marines.

In regards to this thing about "Kizaru is strongest" vs "Aokiji is better..."

Let's put it this way. Both pwn. Aokiji has a HUGE attack with Ice Time that can literally kill you if you're not dethawed in time. Kizaru on the other hand is kind of like the ultimate sniper. Let him loose on someone's ranks and his speed ensures you will take out quite a few people with the speed of his kicks.

My main thing is how is the like of WB going to overcome that?

Their's a reason why it's the Seven Royal Sichibuki vs Whitebeard Pirates. Not the Marine HQ vs WhiteBeard Pirates.

Rayleigh will kick Kizaru away, and WB was Gol D Roger's main rival (but don't forget that Roger was nevertheless quite better than WB who was in a disease way) ; so he is able to kick away admirals too.

Rayleigh will not kick an Admiral away trust me. It'll be a close battle but an eventual victory for Kizaru.

I don't trust you for it.

Gol D. Roger was the most free person in all of the world.
So, the First Mate of Gold was the second most free person.

To be such a kind of person, you need to go against the WG and to fight a lot against a lot of differents people or beasts. So you're okay to say you've got willpower.

But can't you stay that the man the most free in the world, is the stronger ?
Indeed, being the most free means being able to do more than others.
When you're not able to do something, you're weak ...

Rayleigh is a free man, whose philosophy is more important than Kizaru's. It means his will is better too. The things he can do are numerous in front of Kizaru's. So Rayleigh is a giant comparative to Kizaru.

So, Rayleigh should kick away Kizaru who hasn't understand the strengh of real freedom (he is a marine after all).

It's a metaphysical thought of course. I think you notice it.

Your looking at it from a pirates view but if you look at it from a marine's view then it's the other way around. The Pirates are evil and the Marines are the most free! And Kizaru's dreams has something to do with the Marine's and helping people from pirates. Which means Ray loses because Kizaru has a dream.

I can do it too.

ACTUALLY! Completely new theory, there are 3 admirals, perhaps in the future we may have the monster three take on the three admirals, how epic would that be.....Luffy vs Aokiji......Zoro vs Kizaru (just because Kizaru blasted Zoro first ) and Sanji vs the Red Dog guy..............How epic would that fight be :P

It could happen, but then One Piece would end and we dont want that.
They would have a better chance if i happens after a year or 2 (One Piece years) because right now they cant even hold a candle beside Kizaru, get it? LOL
