Yeah but that could hardly be called an army.

Besides, they weren't his nakama..he didn't really care that much for them. He only cared because they were Franky's nakama.

And they were temporary, not permenant allies, allied through circumstance not choice.

IMO it would not be very logic to see 11 people to dominate the whole OP world.. =/

It's just strange.. but hey, that's my thought.

Being the Pirate King doesn't mean you'll dominate the world. You may be the most powerful man, but that doesn't mean you rule anything or have to assert your authority anywhere.

Kuma teleports around. Unless he keeps his crewmates in his pockets I can't see how he can have any.

We've seen Mihawk's coffin-ship. It doesn't have space for anyone else...so I'd say its a pretty safe bet to say that they do travel alone.

have you noticed, that those with crews we know of and which are sometimes just mere puppets (i.e. billions and zombies etc.) tend to be more criminal and hostile against WG than Shichis who seem to have got rid of their crews (if they had an own it would be Mihawk and Kuma and then there is Jimbei of whom we know that he had a crew.)
About Kuma there is still this "he's the most loyal" thing, which isn't really explained by the Pacifista imo.

just a sidenote - we haven't seen all of them in action and tbh these little advantages the shichis have wouldn't make me go to war (in reality pretty much nothing would ;P)

Hmmm.

I miss Garp : what did he do during the SA arc ?
I wanted him to show us Haki and explain us what it is ; like he did for emperors.

Isn't it obvious now that Garp is one of the strongest marine : i would say like an admiral and maybe more ?
With the Haki, i'm determined in thinking of it.

It explains a lot of things : like the Punch of Love that Luffy really felt (it is because, it's a Haki Punch, and it turns out Luffy's rubber resistance)

And he was able to fight with Gol D Roger as he was hunting him on the New World ; and he is able to fight against Rayleigh and so able to beat him, as Garp himself said (it looks possible as Oda told us in the manga).

So, GARP IS SO STRONG, plz come back and show us your huge strenght ! I'm hoping to see him having a fight in the WB's war.

Woah their thats way to much overestimation I defintely wouldn't put him at Admiral level, probablly highest VA but not admiral.

never did he do anything like that.
not only was the only thing said, that he cornered him, Rayleigh explicitly stated that Roger has never been caught, but turned himself in a year after disbanding his crew.

Ahaha, NO. Roger turned himself in. Read the Manga again. Also, Gorusei can be weak. They could just be a bunch of bureaucrats met together and said, "Let's take over the marines guys!" So we can't really say anything about their strength.

Well anyway, I posted to ask; what did you think Sentoumaru use to damage Luffy? I don't think it's Impact Dial, as Oda would have come up with new idea. Can anyone from MH enlighten me with their opinion on the matter?

We could go with the explanation we're using for everything else: Haki. But it's boring if every guy uses Haki for everything.

I'm going to go with a simply awesome fighting style that damages beyond the physical. If I remember correctly, his attacks were sumo-based but I don't know much about Sumo so I can't particularly guess what Sumo technique makes rubber bruise.

Hopefully the attacks are just his technique and completely void of Haki, it would make me feel better since I'm worried everyone from here out will just be Haki dependent (and get golden hair and green eyes when they RAGE!)

Battlefranky from APforums has found Oda's "announcement"...and it's somewhat sad news for OP fans:

Oda [While Togashi's back it's been decided that the series will be taken out of the publication. It'll be shifted to a 10 week cycle instead]

Essentially as it's interpreted is this: when HxH is running, OP will be on hiatus. After the next chapter, there will be no more OP until the latest HxH cycle is over. And there is another catch: if ten weeks goes by after OP returns and HxH is ready, OP may go on hiatus again for ten more weeks of HxH.

The news is essentially craptastic: I know Togashi is weird but this is just the height of insanity. Why does Oda become his sacrificial lamb? Why not just rotate all successful series one a week until the HxH cycle is over? Why are the editors doing this...heck why is Oda going along with it? I just don't get it at all...and I fear what the other fans are going to say about it.

The only bit of good news I can take out of this is this: One Piece has possibly vaulted in my head out of the "Big Three" (where it was with Naruto and Bleach) and entered "untouchable" territory (where lies KochiKame and...oh, HxH)

Apparently, Oda will be taking a longer than normal break after this weeks chapter . I'm going to be in mourning for a while.

sorry i know making one stupid comment like mine doesn't add to anything... but i also agree that this is some major suckage...

i don't see why Oda would want to accept this... unless he really wanted a break and/or there are some other issues involved...

edit: on the bright side.... HxH WILL probably end... i mean they're fighting the universe's worst enemy! so OP should be back to business soon... (well it's not that I didn't like HxH, but the way Togashi made it (through his half-done sketches & occasional breaks) is almost like mocking his fans...)

After further investigation, the '10 week cycle' reference was made by someone else completely as a snide remark poking fun at Togashi's often on and off scheduling of Hunter, but dressed it up as to imitate a very trusted source (as if he were making the comment) and indicated Oda would take the series in a similiar direction. I clumsy mistook that as the trusted source relaying Oda's upcoming message.

What I can say for sure, Oda will have some sort of message at the end of this week's chapter, and then the series will be off the following week. Which has led to 'unfounded' speculation that Oda might be taking a longer than usual break.

Nothing of the nature of this message is known, and the break appears to be totally routine.

Sorry for this huge misunderstanding. Hope I didn't put anyone in an early grave. ORZ

yo garp is obviously at the level of an admiral! he moves at the speed of light and is so strong!
and i hope they dont turn out haki with like chakra chit and thing. and i hope that only legends like whitebeard, shanks kaidou and chit you kno people wiht no fruit and all can use it. not fkin everyone just the one that makes them so strong.

I do think he is powerful, but his ablities may be in fact because he trained to be monstrously strong like Luffy lol . Although with the introduction with Haki, it may or not be in fact the reason why he is so powerful, who really knows at this point but a lot older characters like Rayliegh or Shanks do seem utilize it much more often but they were both apart of Gold Rogers Crew so im a little iffy if everyone could use (WB might and some other Yonkous ..) in the New World


btw wasn't Garp suppose to make entrance in the Shabody Isles? maybe he'll be there when Luffy gets back there or something of that sort ....(probably got side-tracked)
