Luffy doesn't do sentimentality, if he was still unable to face aokiji he probably wouldn't have mentioned him to blueno. You don't go remembering old losses in the middle of a fight unless you think that at your current level the result would have been different. Besides this is one piece man its not so hard to think that luffy might have figured out the enemy's weakness after a fight. I'm only bringing up aokiji because out of all the admirals I figure luffy has a better chance of defeating him since they've actually fought before.

Umm, you do know you are talking about a shounen manga right? 

Where sentimentality, the power to fight for your fallen friends, the strength and will to get stronger = Main character. The ability to belive in your nakama gives you Deus ex Machina type strength! lol Luffy fits that Shounen standard pretty well.

about your first post andonan i agree that it is haki
how ever the 2nd link is questionable, to me it seems that its just a pun, i mean look at their faces they dont look the way other people looked when they were under haki attack (if i can call it like that...) but what i do believe is that we saw haki before we just didnt knew it was there:

well i think we have to agree to disagree monkey as i would say that your posts are in fact the questionable ones as i believe Luffy has NEVER actually implemented his Haki into any of his fighting he has only ever demonstrated his king haki which intimidates ppl not physically hurts them..... and i don't think he even used haki against the serpent sisters just overwhelmed them with rather power GEAR TWO!!!

I'm sure the arc's flashback will involve Jinbei and his involvement in the freeing of the slaves which will intertwine with Boa's back story.....

Oh yeah I forgot about Boa's past thats tied to this. Now when Boa meets Jinbei we may see the flash back then. I wonder if Boa will strike  out against the WG then.

I have to agree with you Arkadi, in all likely hood this was haki, we see the animal in fear and we see the foaming @ the mouth, which was later said to be also a royal or kings haki (forgot the name) also said to be used by Hebi-hime.

I have to agree thus far Luffy has not infused haki into anything especially punches/attacks. Its safe to say this will be a power up for him sometime soon. I think he used the kings haki there but it took out the crowd only, I don't think it affected the sister per-se. I'll have to re-read the chapter to be 100% accurate.

I think its interesting how much room for improvement each strawhat has like robin she will easily be able to do the wing move following whatever she does with the bridge, using all those arms and all the multi-tasking and such its interesting to think about. each different strawhat theres so many possibilitys.

I think the strawhats have enough crew members for the moment and the chances of any chars we've seen so far joining the crew is pretty low. I'm still wondering how ussop's gonna get stronger on that island he's on. The only guys who are sure 100% sure to make some improvements are nami and franky.

well 1st on ussop. i think there are some pretty werid fruits on that island. so either ussop is going to make some special bullets out of them, or maybe he will get a devil fruit and "feed" it to his slingshot, to make it stronger. these are the 2 possiblities. as for chopper, i guess he could learn 2 use his monster point on that island, or improve his rumble ball abilities.
as for the others, i have no idea. for sanji maybe he'll be running 4 ever and make his legs tougher, though it seems dumb.(i could imagine oda doing this though, lol) and maybe robin would get buff from lifting rocks, and brook learning some skills from the tenaga clan. i have no idea what zoro is up to, though

lol thats true but im pretty sure sanji would probably cry and gnash his teeth at the injustice of it all. That is unless he actually gets to meet hancock. As for nami im betting two lumps on the head. I'm kinda interested in how brook's gonna help out that poor country too.

I have a theory on an stronger way for Brook to fight.
His main attack is a delayed action,so what if he piles the them on each other and has them strike at the same moment.kinda Similar to a Tekkai, but delayed.
Sounds difficult and dependent on if it's even possible,but what do you think?

Usopp doesn't need to get physically strong.
He just has to get his hands on a good rifle.
Look at Van Auge, he doesn't seem to be strong.

usopp will team up with perona, that case will make ussop brave.

I know man i've been thinking that forever. His weapon has different uses but it doesn't do as much damage as a gun. Even hachi was taken out without a bullet from the tenryubito. I find myself wondering why ussop doesn't have a gun every once in a while.

Well i think from what we have seen the only use of Haki by Luffy is the power to truly frighten and intimidate ppl, and i think my link was the first real time we saw two ppl who were DF user and were obviously very competent COMPLETELY scared of simply a two people's energy, to me that's about as haki as you can get, though i doubt Oda intended it in such a way i think there is a strong argument to be put forward in such a manner

I'm not so sure Boa will rebel against the WG at the sight of Jimbei - in fact, I don't think he and Boa are linked at all. She's a fellow Shichibukai, after all, and I'd think she might have noticed that the man who saved her from slavery holds an equal office as she in the WG.

Luffy will be forgiven by Sanji if he bring someone cute from Kuja (not again) the more the better. Luffy will be beaten to a pulp if he explained all of the story how that bracelet changed hand, except that woman that he bring from kuja didn't like how Nami get all over Luffy (know what I meant ). BTW I don't think Buggy will find Captain John treasure after all even if he managed to escaped with bracelet intact. I think it's high chances that actually Captain John treasure is already on board Thousand Sunny, since we'll already saw that Captain John is exist in Thriller Bark becoming a sub ordinate of Absalom. The bracelet is part of treasures that Moria taken from John's corpse I assumed. On SBS it already confirmed that it really that is the Captain John.
