The Dark King wont be captured that easily!!!

The main reason I don't believe Rayleigh is captured is because of story progression:

I mean, can you imagine Luffy, after doing whatever he's about to do, sitting in Shabondy next door to Marineford while Rayleigh has to coat the ship for a couple of days? It's not exactly a "safe zone".

So yeah, Rayleigh should escape if only so Luffy doesn't have to sit around for 3 days doing nothing.

Agree, If he's on his own he will never be captured, I mean if don't have to care about someone, beside, if he's been caught, he will be next to Ace right now, cuz WG want to exterminate anyone with supposed relation with Roger...

imagine if he wasnt. that means that he has held off so many people that were that he would truely be the strongest pirate to have ever lived. it would jus make him that much more prestige and respected, to me, if he truely wasnt one.

They might dramatically rise his bounty as sons always have the potential to walk in their father's footsteps. Although I doubt this will happen (any time soon) considering they don't even know he's Usopp.

By the way, (donno if this has already been said) does anyone else think CP9 have joined the revolutionaries? I say this due to the fact that there's a giraffe with them in Robin's coverstory: http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/546/01/ In other words, that would be Kaku and he also has a sword; furthermore, Robin doesn't know what Kaku's DF looks like (not even sure she knows he has one) so wouldn't be all 'omg !!!!!' Although there's the problem that the giraffe isn't square-shaped, I guess.

My guess is White Beard is going to be the first major character to die in One Piece. There's been a huge amount of foreshadowing about this. For the current fight: I think it'll be somewhat of a stalemate, with both sides taking massive hits. White Beard will fall, but the Marines will be greatly injured. That will plunge One Piece into more Pirate Vs. Pirate again, since the Marines will be building up their forces.

especially with the moby dick reference. for those not familiar with moby dick, in the book everyone survives except for one man. i think luffy will get to ace 1st and whitebeard will stay behind to save his crew and the other pirates allowing them to get away.

i think ace will blame himself for whitebeard being killed. i think BB will show up at the very end to finish whitebeard

This sounds like pure Oda Prophecy!! SWEET!! I agree, but let's discuss who the Marines would potentially lose. It has to be people we have gotten to know. How can Coby attain is dreams if an admiral doesn't die.. or we have to see the Gorousei be more active?? Could Garp sacrifice himself to save Luffy and Ace?? That's what's killing me to know???

It seems likely that WB will die in this, but I think Garp or Sengoku are just as likely to die with him.

It's tough to pick an admiral to die. Aokiji seems most interweaved into the story, he's in cahoots with Garp and Smoker, so I don't think it would be him. Akainu would be disappointing because we've only just seen him (we also have a history of him at Ohara). Kizaru seems the most expendable storywise, except for his involvement with Vegapunk.
Then again if Sengoku dies, one of them could move up.

I think Garp is a good candidate for a marine to die.
He's a old guy, Luffy's grandfather (so he have to handle with loss of a beloved person) and a well known and mighty marine.

The new era is coming and so the old ones have to go away. And since I don't think Ace will die I think Garp did since Luffy must lose a beloved person this arc.

i was just reading about one piece on wikipedia and there it was mentioned that when people who have eaten devil fruits are submerged in water they lose their powers and yet in the mermen arc when luffy is stuck underwater two people help him survive by stretching his head and getting it to the surface so he could breathe

is this a plot hole or has this been explained somewhere?

i was just reading about one piece on wikipedia and there it was mentioned that when people who have eaten devil fruits are submerged in water they lose their powers and yet in the mermen arc when luffy is stuck underwater two people help him survive by stretching his head and getting it to the surface so he could breathe

I don't think it's ever been said that they lose their DF powers in water. They don't lose their powers, they become powerless. Might be the same thing but what I mean is when they are submerged in water they lose the power in their body (which is why they are hammers)yet their DF powers aren't really affected. I don't remember if it was said anywhere specifically but the scene you mention is proof of that.

I remember reading on an SBS about that... Oda said something like this:

That a DF user looses the ability to activate its powers when they are under water. But there are powers that dont need to be activated cause they are allways active (e.g. its impossible for Luffi to not be rubber, or to Alvada not to be slippery...). In those cases, if they are under water, they cant move and loose their strenght, but their bodies keep "anormal".

I cant seem to find the right SBS... ill keep looking and than bring it here

do you guys think is there any chance that Kuma "against Marine" again like he did (help SH crew by sent them away) in Sabaody/Shabondy? Maybe this time He send Shicibukai to SH crews, like send Mihawk to Zoro's current place

Man, can't believe I didn't notice that. Damn that hat - although, perhaps it's a hint that CP9 intend on joining the revolutionaries. I do hope so.

Also, I highly doubt that any of Shichibukai would let Kuma do that in the first place. Moria said he knew Kuma's abilities and I suspect the others do as well so they would probably have something to counteract that or at least stop him from touching them, at least.
