I reread the Enies Lobby Arc... and I realized just how good Oda is.

Definately. Off the record, I had a dream Sanji had a fight with WB's Marco (the guy who has the same VA for Ichigo in the anime) and he was totally kicking his ass for insulting Nami's obsession over Beri.

Well, i gotta say huge thanks to bittman,deffkryz and any other person that replayed here and gave me his look on onepiece. IT SURELY HELPED!
I did like the fact that everyone mentioned that oda built one piece in terms of "details revealed/make more sense in later chapters about earlier oens" its a good thing to have in a manga.... + yeah i did like the arlong park saga (tho i do reckon i rather "missed it a bit..." since i did watch it on the anime... for some reason with one piece i started with the anime and after arlong i switched to the manga)
anyway, im surely to keep on reading one piece and im sure ill learn to appreciate it MUCH MORE than i currently do, with so many fans around the world and it being so popular its impossible i will be the one to say "bullshit its childish boring crap" but rather learn to say "well i was wrong... i love it now"
so again guys, thanks for making me feel even stronger about knowing i should keep reading one piece and i wont regret it!

I never really thought about it, but can Luffy read?? Either yes he can, no he can not or we have never seen him try.

i dont think luffy can read, i think its either in the first movie or in one of the movies, where he couldn't read a note or something

Well, not that it is complicated to read, but he could read the wanted posters.... oh yeah, and he can read signs for restaurants. I can't remember him reading much else. Somehow I can't really see Luffy reading 'War and Peace'. If push came to shove I can see Nami shoving a newspaper article in his face to bring his attention to something.

He did read. He read Norland Journal on Jaya Arc, although Nami who hold & tell the other what is inside those book.

I have a question thats been bugging me for a while now. And it's why was Luccies Rokuougan able to hurt Luffy!? From the looks of it it appeared to be a blunt attack with some type of air preassure/shock wave. My guess would be that the Rokuougan attacks a persons "insides" but i don't remember it being explained. I don't know, maybe it was explained but for some reason i can't seem to find or remember it.

Because Luffy can in fact be hurt by blunt force if there's enough of it? I mean, rubber isn't impervious to EVERYTHING. Not that it's impervious to cannonballs either, but it could be that there are limits that Oda set to Luffy's super-rubber, and those limits are met by enemies super powerful martial arts. Otherwise the enemies would be rather weak against Luffy, and he'd be too invulnerable.

I don't remember a blunt attack, that didn't have Haki behind it being able to hurt Luffy. I mean the guy even repels bullets, which aren't that blunt.

Well their goal is still to pierce. But i do agree that pretty much any normal blunt strike that isen't "sharp" or Haki related won't hurt Luffy.

even luffy says he is weak against cuts dont neccesarily mean he is weaker to them than others for my opinion it might be more tough to cut rubber than flesh but bones might be harder than rubber and luffys bones are rubber too

could different things in luffys body be different varietys of rubber like bones are different rubber than flesh maybe stronger etc is luffys shit rubber ? or his piss ? what about his hair

it wouldn't hurt at all since the rest of their bodies is just the same material <.< this is a little weird conversation though taking it to feces and stuff.

Also I don't think it's much of a diffrence between rubber bones and rubber muscles and stuff. while the bones still act as a skeleton they also have the rubber ability as seen in gear 3, in which case they are rather easily inflated.

Yes, i agree... the rubber is preety much the same. Maybe just a little more dense for the bones, but that would be it.

the reason I (still) think it's the redline is this translation : "The only thing we cannot pierce is the blood-red serpent that coils around the world!"

the colour should be a hint that it's the redline, that they call it a snake is a mythological reference. As Elbaf giants resembling the wikings it should be a clear hint at Jörmungandr.
