Marine are bad guys in very exceptional cases. Basically there were 2 so far
* the ohara incident
* the slave market
For the first one, we don't have all the clue, we first have to know what that void century is.
For the second one, it's more a tenryubito business than a marine one. And I believe that the marine don't do it because they want to rather than they are forced to.
For Alabsta, the marine were also on the good side.

Now I wonder how the tenryubito won that war, are they powerful enough not even want to breath the same air as everyone? do they have exceptional skills...

You just making it up. Kaidou'shadow has only be seen one time during the manga, when Garp introduced the Yonkou.
When we learnt Shanks and Kaidou had begun to battle, we just saw marines talking about it.

And they didn't even say a word about a battle: Shanks just stopped Kaidou from engaging Whitebeard to stop him from attacking the MarineHQ. Kaidou might be way talkative than that old geezer.

He was sent to the New Kambakka Kingdom, caught and turned into an okama.

The Tenryuubito won the war by doing exactly what Caeser did. Caeser didn't ride personally into every battle to kick ass. The Tenryuubito are royalty, not the soldiers.

Even if the Tenryuubito of old were powerful, what we've seen of the current stock simply show that they've become accustomed to luxury, power and not having to lift a finger for anything. That said, I'd be willing to bet the Gorousei (Five Elder Stars) are the Tenryuubito clan heads and they at least kick some political ass.

Waaaaaaait a minute!

I reread chapter 523 again where one of Sengoku's subordinates stated that there are still 500 pirates from the Shabaody Shoto caught by Kizaru and that needed to be brought to Impel Down. But they weren't until now, were they?

So, I guess they'll break free as well once Luffy and his jail breakers hit the ground? I hope we gonna see some of the rookies as well?

In the Shabaody Shoto there should be some kind of place where they could keep those pirates, and with Ace's case I don't think they would bother themselves by taking some amateurs pirates to Impel down.
what I wonder is what happened to the supernovas.

I'm starting to suspect that the supernovas escaped, I would figure the WG would make a bigger deal about that, cause excluding Luffy you got some of the most dangerous pirate crews in the waters, but with Ace's capture and death sentence maybe it just got swept under the rug.


I was wondering after I read in the spoilers section no OP this week, I'm not sure how strict a Japanese publisher is, but how does Oda get off with so many breaks? granted his breaks aren't nearly as long as Miura (Mangaka of Berserk), but considering all the work he puts into OP he deserves a rest.

Sanji isn't gay he was "forced" to dress up like a girl...

Anyway I've thought about something and it's about fishmen/merfolk.

If a they eat a fruit they lose the ability to swim right, but will they still die I mean they can breath underwater, no?

Edit: Another question would be about Doflamingo is it possible for him to be a member of the long arm tribe or am I pretty lost there...?

Well, I don't really think any Tenryuubito would be caught dead doing laundry, but that is what we see Tsuru doing (or is it actually Otsuru now??) Maybe she is the black sheep of the family but somehow I get the impression that the Gorousei are simply highly respected, retired Marine officers that act in an advisory capacity.

Anything that eats a devilfruit loses the ability to voluntarily move while underwater. For a human, that means if they can't get out of the water they will drown. For a fishman it's a bit more complicated. Lets use two examples: Arlong and Hachi. Neither of these has actually eaten a devilfruit, I'm just using them as examples.

1. Hachi eats a devilfruit. He is an octopus type fishman. An octopus doesn't need to swim in order to breath. He can sit on the bottom and breathe all he likes. He still won't be able to swin though.

2. Arlong eats a devilfruit. He is a shark type fishman. Sharks have gills that require moving water for them to work. Usually this means swimming is required. If he can't swim he will drown just like a human would. If he happens to sink to the bottom and there also happens to be a current of moving water, that would work too. Any moving water will work.

Suffice to say though that any fishman that ate a devilfruit would probably die of shame before drowning.

Zoro if he manages to convince the girl to lend him a hand, sanji might be in the process of baptism right now who knows if the okamas will launch an attack against the WG

No, Sanji went to Kamabakka Kingdom to learn Okama Kenpo. It's a pity, that flower theme is already taken. It would suit new Sanji perfectly.

Oh no, they aren't. Do you think Strategist would risk utter defeat of World Governament because of some 500 pirates? Marines brought every single significant bit of force to Marineford. (ok, except for Impel Down team) Even now Sengoku isn't sure they will win.

So you're telling me that the WG's gonna leave those amateur pirates go freely?? the pacifistas are truly strong, but some have to stay to maintain order at the Sabaody Archipelago, where the world nobles reside and where's the entrance of the NW. I don't think they throw everything to hell just for WB...

for the most part it's clear that it's whitebeard's people who were responsible for opening the gates.Well,they had to open the gates to break in.

and 2 out of the 4 pacifistas are out already,so even if 2 come i doubt,they'll do much infront of the WB captain squad anyway.

seems clear cuz when he shows up the gates opened, but they have to get in to be able to open the gates, so it maybe a traitor or they figured out how to get in, although it doesn't mean that necessarily WB's people are the responsible... IMO

Yup. Captured pirates are probably imprisoned already in some quite secure place (come one - marines had whole week for transporting them). Uncaptured pirates have been always roaming Archipelago quite freely. Sabaody is now defended by small bunch of private marines. World Nobles reside in Mariejois. I doubt that small fries would dare to attack it (this iron rule was broken only once), and WG intelligence is carefuly checking if some major threat isn't trying to take advantage of battle with Whitebeard.

Anyway - we will know for sure soon enough.

Well, for Usopp, snipers tend to fight from a distance. Where he is, he doesn't have that luxury. He has to think and act fast in order to save his own life. After all, those plants are everywhere.

As for Zoro, maybe he will have to learn how to defend himself from immaterial things like ghosts, or psychological attacks. He already has a Big Gun attack that has a spiritual component (probably haki) in Asura, what he needs is something more suitable for weaker targets so he doesn't half kill himself to swat a fly.
