How would someone think of Ace being One Piece after the revelations in the war? Since it's the goal of the Strawhats and the title of the manga... does not make any sense.

Wasn't Crescent Moon Gally used in the Loguetown Filler Arc (Episode 48)? He even had a wanted poster in the 9th movie and less than 4 Million Berry on his head (while his bounty was 5 Million Berry in the Romance Dawn Jump Festa Special)... Would be aweful if he turned out to be Oda's fourth Yonkou...

If Ace was "One Piece" and now he's dead, how does the story progress???

How could Ace have been One Piece? That doesn't make any sense? Especially not Whitebeard's statement before he died...

Changing the topic--there are two guys at Luffy's ship on romance dawn, that are explicitly shown to have some possible features that can be developed. Thus far Oda has at leasst not developed the moustasche guy and the other guy who has black hair and an hairband with naked upper body. Maybe the next member will be developed of from these two pictures. Especially the last one, where nami-look-alike is together in the picture.

Romance Dawn was a testbed for Oda. Just because he drew characters there doesn't mean he is going to use them.

And besides, there were like 4 nami look-alikes in all his Romance Dawn's. She was obviously always going to be in it, but beyond that there haven't really been any obvious links between designs in Romance Dawn and designs in the current One Piece. (unless there's a small one I missed along the way?)

Well... Romance Dawn V1 and V2 were prototype one shots with no impact but cameos on the story itself. And both Ann and Silk were both "Nami prototypes" who lack the pirate characteristics - as Ryuma is.

So far none of the RD characters have been shown up in the Manga - Gally is already used back in a Loguetown filler IIRC, the 9th movie and last year's RD Special. And I don't see how Oda would bring up a character based on some mediocre looking topless guy ... There are more promising characters in the Wanted! one shots.

I think Garp was was in one of them in which he was the one whom the SH originally belonged. Other than that I can't really think of anyone.

man shanks and luffy look so much alike. i dont think its a coincidence. i think shanks is luffy's uncle, but on luffy's mothers side.

im sure luffy's past and his origins will be revealed soon with dragon especially .

Luffy's origins are related to the D ... So once the D's secret is revealed we'll get everything we want to know about him.

I don't think Luffy cares about that, because if he does don't you think that the normal thing to do in these cases is ask his Grandpa about his dad the first time he heard about him? and instead of doing that he reacted as if it wasn't something important for him or at least has something to do with him.

you make a point . but oda forshadowed their meeting that hints that it would have a huge impact on the story , whats more it would lead to luffy's maturity i would like that moment i've looking forward to it and im expecting it to be great .

You know Luffy has to overcame Shanks... and they're booth friends and pirates...
So the solution his "davy back fight".
When Luffy meets him in the SS (Shin Sekai) he will just show the coins and say, "wanna prove your crew is better then mine?"

Usopp will have a shooting contest with is father.
Shanks and Luffy will have a fight... but with rulles, like a boxing fight... none of them wants to kill the other
The big guy and franky will see who makes the better ship in the less time (if the big guy is the ship maker)
Zoro and Beckam will see who drinks more
The doctors will make healing potions
(...)

I just think it feets, and would turn a comic relief arc, into a forshadow of the (almoast) end of the manga xD!

I'm pretty eager to read the next chapter. The story is almost going to reboot. Luffy's injuries must have taken years to heal. His crew is wandering around and they will eventually get together. Black-bear must have started is carnage, becoming more infamous. The marines must have changed a lot. I wonder what happen to Coby... So many questions... Oda is going to take his time to put all this together. It will be awful to wait, but I am sure it will be awesome. And it all restarts with this incoming chapter... I can't wait....

Just took a look st the trailer for strong world and it looks like there might be some info on nami's past, luffy's crew might all have incredible lineage except for chopper though he's already interesting enough.

Actually i'm kinda curious what shanks would have done had he gotten there before ace died. if ace was on the execution platform still, would shanks have still just told everyone to go home?
