Ground Rules for the Power Level Discussion Thread

As always, please follow the guidelines set by the Forum Rules that apply across the board.

It's important that discussions from a current chapter are spoiler tagged until 24h have passed from an english release.

• For the sake of constructive discussion, where and when possible please quote/ source any information you provide. Particularly when it comes to conversations carried over from other threads.
• Avoid passive agressive posts, sly remarks or baiting/trolling. You can certainly have fun or disagree without it being at someone's expense.
• Only use anime examples that are canon and as means to provide clarity to pages in the manga. Any other anime material is otherwise non-canon and should only be referenced if it can be proved that the mangaka had approved it.
• We will strive to avoid repetitive discussions and any extensive battle topics will be guided to the Davy Back fight to existing threads or new ones can be made there.

As of now these topics are shelved due to repetitiveness or until the manga can present us with material to further discussions:

Whoever thinks Doffy > Katakuri or even equal, has not been paying much attention and is lacking understanding of the power differences of characters.

I love Doffy as a villain. & how he stands out in terms of power. 2 SuperNovas had to take out this Warlord. Law was easily overwhelmed and outdone only managing to land 1 heavy attack,.

While Luffy W/O G4 could only land moderate damage. Doffy was fierce! but had no offensive greater than G4 arsenal of attacks. He only had higher stamina & endurance than G4 Luffy.

Doffy is low Commander Lv.
Katakuri is wiping the floor with him. The fight is going to go the same way the 1st half of his fight with Luffy went...Ownage. then they'll both awaken...only for Doffy to get Buzz Mochi or spear'd..Not to mention Block Mochi is stronger than G4, so he's gonna get wrecked by Donut mochi also..

But Doffy is Low commander Of, because if stamina/endurance, Conquerors Haki & Awaken DF. He could most likely beat Snack. But even Cracker, has too high of defense & numbers that Doffy doesn't have the full offense to pressure. & Cracker is a notch above in power also, able to harm G4 woth his haki.

Tier 1: Yonko and Admirals.

It was hinted a few times that the Yonko and Admirals are on the same level, and the strongest challengers of the future Pirate King.

Names: Gol D. Roger, Sengoku, Kong, Garp.

Tier 2: Shichibukai and Yonko Commanders

This is how strong Luffy is now. Most of the Worst Generation captains are also includes here.

Names: Jinbe, Ace, Sabo, Law, Urouge, Kidd, Hawkins, X. Drake, Asura Douji, Ivankov. Magellan.

Tier 3: 500 million bounty pirate

This is the level of Luffy when he's not using Gear 4.

Names: Chinjao, Vergo, Perosperos, Oven, Daifuku, Page One.

Tier 4: New World fighters

Names: Zoro, Sanji, Ceasar Clown, Kyros, Capone, Killer (Kamazou), Pekoms, Pedro, Tamago.

Tier 5: 100 million bounty pirate

The Super Rookies captains. A Marine Vice-Admiral is no match for them.

Luffy is still under admiral level imo, and I don't see how he will defeat a fresh (not nerfed) yonko without help.

That's the idea.
Kaido one shots luffy (hence the triple >) current luffy wrecks doflamingo (>>) and doflamingo beats sanji (>). I am talking about current Sanji with access to raid suit etc

Ah that makes more sense now, but I'm not entirely sure if the raid suit would help, unless Doflamingo's not fast enough to react to the speed boost.

Sabo is commander level, right? Fujitora had the upper hand against him. Plus Sabo and the other 3 leaders of the Revolutionaries clashed against only 2 Admirals...

Sabo Commander lv? I would believe so. Especially with the Mera Mera.

To the point, what's your point in bringing that up? advantageous go back and forth in fights...

Also we have no references, to how strong the Revolutionary leaders truly are.

If the admirals were Yonkou commander level, then the Yonkou would have likely wiped them out already as there'd be barely any challenge exceptf or fleet admirals. The admirals are likely close to Yonkou level, if not at that level, but warring a Yonkou would take too much damage.

That line makes me think that new admirals are possibly even stronger than old ones.
Fujitora always had a moral dilemma so he never went all out and he seems to lean more towards being a good guy but genuine swordsman paired with gravity ability which can be as broken as Oda wants is seriously dangerous individual.

I suggest that Teach be dropped to S tier, his potential is crazy but I don't think he is on the same tier as the other s+ just yet.

Mihawk and Buggy for S tier.

Lucky roo and Smoothie for A tier. Smoothie is the only female commander she must be a beast.

Luffy for A+: at the end of this arc he will be between A+ and S- imo.

Bege for A- this defense is top notch.

Smoker for C+

Kyoshiro/Ashura douji/Inurashi/Neko for A.

It would be fun to rank each tier from strongest to weakest character too.

Fine by me, but let me finish it first. I will add the remaining important groups this evening. Also have to sort the Charlottes a bit more. For example, I placed Cornstarch significantly lower because she is the Minister of Love and looks fairly weak, but I didn't went that in depth with all of them and placed most in the D+ tier, in which they probably don't belong.

Mihawk and Buggy for S tier.

Personally I am unsure of wether or not Mihawk even belongs in the S- Tier. He isn't really active anymore, instead he was seen gardening with Perona. Granted, he never suffered defeat like them, but it is implied Moria and Crocodile became a lot weaker in Paradise.

Lucky roo and Smoothie for A tier. Smoothie is the only female commander she must be a beast.

To little is known about them. I placed Weevil in A due to the hype he has received, and Wolf because he is simply a Monster. Roo has basically no feats, I think his portayal implies he is stronger than Yasopp, but we don't know if there is a tier-defining gap between them. Smoothie imho, from what little we have see is not far away from Cracker. Her biggest feat is her sword slash, but that's something Zoro can do as well at this point, and he doesn't need to increase his size for it.

Luffy for A+: at the end of this arc he will be between A+ and S- imo.

I don't think Luffy belongs in A+ yet, but I haven't taken into account his Wano features, and I will only do so when he has finished advancing his CoA, as that is his next definite power-up.

Bege for A- this defense is top notch.

Naaaah. If he was A-, he wouldn't have been troubled by Oven. Defense doesn't win you anything.

Smoker for C+

I think Smoker is slightly too strong for C+. I think only Sanji would be a bit difficult for him, but I don't see Smoker loosing to Pre-Raid Suit Sanji either.
