Leakers react to anything with
It's so fucking annoying.
This "Egghead Arc" is certainly the low point of One Piece. It doesn't even exist.
Instead we get the stuff from Levely Arc that Oda abridged to rush towards Wano, as well as stuff that by usual standards would have happened in the in-between of Wano and Egghead, which Oda abridged to rush towards Egghead.
The current pace is neckbreaking, Oda is introducing countless characters that he cannot possibly even do justice in the plot, and that seem to serve no point other than to expand the world building, which certainly isn't necessary anymore at this point.
Yet the readers reaction is always "hyper hyper". It's as if a huge part of the Fandom doesn't care about the plot.
What I dislike is how the leakers fuel that notion, including people like redon who have long been established in the fandom as trustworthy and thus authoritative figures.
If I told you during Punk Hazard arc, where we spent 60 chapters on Caesar Clown, who then went on to accompany us for even more, that Vegapunk would be dealt with in five chapters before we move over to random Marine characters... people would call me an idiot, citing that Vegapunk has been teased for so long, clearly he must be something major.
I must even say that I do like the dynamic the story is taking... But all of what has been happening the past chapters should have already happened years ago.
Egghead itself is so bad, it's easily the worst arc so far. The Stussy reveal is the most convenient, illogical, random deus ex machina I've ever seen. Fairy Tail level.
It even makes you overlook that Lucci and Kaku got beaten into... submission minutes after arriving. Oda just wrote their brains away. These guys were secret agents capable of playing an act staying undercover for years fooling everyone. They even studied professional ship carpeting, just for the job, and achieved a level on par with the freaking Top 5 of the entire world.
Now they charge head first into defense weaponry. If the writer literally is roasting his character's established traits for the sake of exposition, you know that he is rushing.
