Dozens of people on X having their hopes up for the hint showing the chained up person being about Doflamingo who‘s being freed by Cross Guild. Unlikely but would be nice.
Anyway I agree time for some CG input.

I think it is time for Doflamingo to drop some more info about the inner workings of the WG/CDs. I am not so sure that Kidd would be scooped up by Elbaf giants and imprisoned, could be wrong but it kinda seems a little pointless to have him in another arc as a prisoner again. But Mingo has a lot of value to the story as does CG coming to free him!

I suppose it tracks that with law's and kid's defeat along with the strawhat's miraculous escape from egghead they would get a bounty increase. It does seem quite fast though. Maybe now his bounty will be comparable to the previous yonko, above 4 billion.

It would be the same with Dressrosa tho

Luffy's bounty was split with Law (500 million each), then Luffy's bounty increased to 1.5 billion

Luffy's bounty was also leveled with Law and Kid now (3 billion) each

1 billion for defeating Doflamingo, and 9 billion for defeating both Kaido and Big Mom is far more reasonable

So just like 1.5 was a more accurate representation of Luffy's level, so would a bounty of 4 or 5 billion

Peak Fiction: Maybe we check out the rest of the world.
Chains: I'm half thinking its a wano person. Would be legit surprised if its Kidd. But I'd prefer it.
Bounty increase: I pray we'll play it straight.

Actually, Yamato is at Tama’s house, which is right by the region with the prison, so maybe that would add up.

They’d def credit part of Luffy’s escape to the Giants and Joy Boy’s Haki instead of completely giving Luffy credit.

Yeah I saw that. It's possible but I don't put too much stock into theories on X. I mean I just saw a theory that says Koby was Shanks son and Kidd is his nephew.

Another possibility is this is Urouge that was captured and we see his new bounty.

I could see him and Luffy having almost equal bounties considering their developments in the Egghead arc. Obviously Luffy escaped a buster call and fought off the Gorosei (with help of course). And Teach capturing Garp.. that's huuuge in its own right.

Good point. I'm interested to see how they handle this. On one hand I imagine they'd like to save face and down play his achievements, they want to keep their reputation and instill confidence of their power, and on the other they want him to appear to the world as a very dangerous Pirate.. we know Morgan's goes rogue with his publications so we'd be able to gauge their intentions solely by the bounty.

Since Vegapunks death seems be pinned on Luffy publicly, a bounty rise would make sense. Can they really be like "this man killed Vegapunk!" and then do nothing about it?

Agreed. Even if everyone heard the broadcast and is questioning the WG, they need to spin a different narrative no matter what...kind of like how world politics is happening right now lol...

And guess what? People will believe the WG's narrative, not all but many will. I mean are you going to trust (*Gasps*) pirates? VP said all this under duress because of the SHP!! Boom. Any number of sheeps will believe it. We need to keep in mind that the SHPs have not been to the majority of kingdoms/countries/islands in any of the blues. The only places that should support them are the places that they've been through or was affiliated like Elizabello's kindgom since he got to first hand witness the SHPs saving Dressrosa. So yeah a raise in bounty is strongly warranted here for the SHPs so the WG can stay credible. I'd say Luffy's new bounty will be ~4 - 4.5billion. Killing a world genius is no joke. It should land you in the FBI's most wanted list.

It could be since they do have Garp as a prisoner, and I would like to see Kuzan bounty. But I think it's a little to soon since we just saw them like three four chapters ago.

Little room for speculation IMO. But true always better to wait for the chapter or the full summary at least.
Of course Vivi reappearing is not a 100% confirmation of her rejoining but chances are high.
